This hotel was much nicer than any other place I have ever stayed at within the $150-200 per nice price range.
I would stay there again for sure over any other hotel in its class.
The hotel was very clean, and all the staff were very friendly and cheerful

In PG for the BC Summer Games and booked early as soon we were confirmed to be attending. Checked out a few places and opted for the Hyatt as it was new and the rooms looked great. Check in was easy and my room was very efficiently laid out with two beds and another pull out sofa that could sleep another 2 persons. The beds were very comfortable...and loved the pillows. The breakfast buffet was okay with the usual options but it would have benefitted with some fresh fruit. Three morning of the same breakfast items was challenging to take.
While the stay started off great, I was not impressed by the inability to have my room cleaned. I returned late in the afternoon to find my room had not been cleaned. I enquired at the front desk and they advised that one has to let them know in the morning if you want your room cleaned. Ok. The next morning I stopped by the front desk and requested my room be cleaned. I returned again late in the afternoon to find the room again had not been cleaned and there were no clean towels. I stopped by the front desk and brought this to their attention. They apologized and advised it would be cleaned by 5 pm. I returned at 5:30 to find the bed had been made and used towels from the pool and bathroom had been removed. There were no clean towels and the floors had not been vacuumed. Brutal.

Expected more for being one of the newer hotels in Prince George. Booked a room for 6 nights for an Elder presenting a workshop here in PG, she travelled from Vancouver, BC. The early check in took about 45 minutes, the hotel concierge was underprepared and understaffed for a mass check out of hockey players checking out. The rooms were not cleaned and not available for early check in even though I had called to double check on the Friday, the Saturday and the Sunday prior to arrival. She was moved into the "only clean room available" which was a king suite (we had booked a bigger room with two queen beds and sitting area). The room was extremely small, not clean and the fridge was turned off. There is no window to open for fresh air, the A/C and heater took awhile to work. The fridge did not get very cool, the bed, bathrooms and carpet were dirty. She was moved into a new room the next day, the hotel staff did help her move but did not appear happy about having to help move there things prior to 9 am as we had to be at the office at 9 am. Our guest is over 70 and required assistance. They did come to help her promptly. The new room was cleaner, except the shower/bathtub, it was the room we had originally booked and had more room. The fridge was off and took a long time to cool. The hotel staff were friendly just appeared to be overwhelmed and understaffed. I wouldn't advise booking a king suite, the two queens have more adequate room. We advised the hotel staff of the issues, they asked that the Elder just speak with them directly (our business was the one that booked for her) and that they would address it, but they did not. We booked for the rate of 145 per night, but it broke down to 143 plus all the taxes and hotel fees ended up being 165.88 with tax. Expected more for the price, will book with a different hotel for our business partners in the future.

Staying in room 405. This is a newer hotel. Very well decorated and modern but very small room. No closet, tiny bathroom, but we weren’t too bothered by that. Upon checking in the desk agent gave us our room key and said out-loud what our room number was, a big no-no. We get to our room and find we were only given 1 key, there were two of us. When we got into the room we found a very nice note welcoming “Lindsay” back to the hotel along with a plate of cookies. I call the front desk to ask if they accidentally gave us “Lindsay’s” room and they told us they gave her a different room and offered to take the note and cookies back. I said, I’d be keeping the cookies. Someone came minutes letter to retrieve the note. The nite didn’t have any sensitive info on it so I dunno why they bothered so I retrieved it from the recycling and gave it to the man.
We return home from dinner to find an immense amount of banging and stomping coming from upstairs. Turns out they put the entire teen female sports team on the top floor (5th floor) of the hotel. Why does that? You put the teams and groups on the lowest floor and the other guests (especially those who have specifically requested quiet rooms) as far away from them as possible! What were they thinking?
Went down for breakfast and found mounds of garbage just piled up outside the elevator doors, overflowing out of a small garbage can. At breakfast the following morning the lone lady who was managing the entire breakfast service by herself got completely overwhelmed by this large group of teens and their chaperones. She apparently wasn’t even given a heads up about the large group staying so she wasn’t prepared. We felt awful for her.
There is NO water pressure in the shower in our room. Thus was a huge disappointment given that this is a very new hotel.
We also found on check in that the room was less than perfect when it came to the cleaning.
The beds were very soft, not firm mattress.
The pool is not big enough to do any serious swimming in but the gym looked fairly well equipped considering its size.
The restaurant/bar in the lobby has a very limited menu but the prices were reasonable. No draft beer, everything is in cans or bottles. I didn’t get the impression the bartender was very experienced.
Overall, I would say that this hotel was a major disappointment, poorly managed, and not somewhere I’d want come back to. I expected more from a Hyatt.

Very new hotel, with great customer service and very clean and loved the couch layout with TV area. They were very accommodating in keeping our mountain bikes in a locked up room over night. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights due to a family member in hospital. I was offered a reduced rate due to the medical nature of our visit.
We stayed in the accessible room which was large and very well appointed . The shower was curbless and had both a high normal shower head and another one within reach of a steady fixed (but foldable) large bench. There were grab bars in all locations that one would need. I would say it was probably the best accessible shower I’ve seen in a hotel room.
The breakfasts were really good. Omelettes, scrambled eggs, sausage, French toast, toast, fruit, yogurt etc… included with the room cost, which saved us the expense of breakfast every day.
The gym is really nice and well equipped for a hotel gym.
We ate dinner at the hotel a couple of night. Not an extensive menu, but the food was very well prepared and presented.
The location of the hotel is right next door to Prince George’s new pool. We didn’t use that or the hotel pool.
The hotel was very quiet. I wasn’t awakened by hotel noise during my stay.
It was nice that there was a washer/dryer for guests on the 5th floor. Very inexpensive and convenient.
The only thing I didn’t see was plugins for cars in the lot. It wasn’t cold enough during my visit for that to matter though.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place whilst attending a conference AND visiting with old friends whom we hadn't seen in a long while.
The beds are very comfortable, rooms are clean and modern; add on comfortable couches/chaisse and you have a great room
Breakfast served from 0600-0900 offers great Canadian Classic fare : eggs of 2 styles, sausages and fruits - orgnage juice, iced tea and all the muffins and breads with a moving-belt toaster. All you can eat buffet breakfast certainy a mega highlight way for starting a vigourous day in PG.

As a travel agent, I have stayed in a lot of hotels worldwide. I have never had better customer service than I received at the Hyatt Place Prince George. The staff were not only friendly and accommodating but went above and beyond in so many instances. The hotel is clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful with lots of options - just make sure you confirm serving times. The hotel is situated in the center of Downtown and close to the Convention Centre, Rolling Mix arena with several restaurant choices nearby. Housekeeping is currently every 4th day but they are happy to replenish the towels and anything else you need. We were a few minutes past check out time and the phone rang in the room. I immediately said "we're almost out" and the pleasant voice at the other end said "it's okay - I was just checking to see if you needed a little more time". I will definitely stay here anytime my travels take me to Prince George.

I don't really make reviews unless I want to voice out my dissatisfaction but this is not the case. I booked in many different suites and hotels across Hawai'i because I live there on the island, so I have developed quite a taste to what comforts me. So I was very hesitant at first and worried that I would be missing out the extravagant vistas and excellent housing services, given I'm traveling out to a cold place in a quiet city but boy was I wrong. The Hyatt Place in Prince George endowed me with an unforgettable experience. I would recommend booking a room if you are looking to visit Prince George and need a place to stay. The atmosphere and staff were on top of it and so compromising. I had a stay of 11 days and everything I've requested was accounted for. My room had one of those quality honeywell thermostats (Incomm E7 as I had experienced from previous hotels), which is simple to use and most importantly QUIET!! It adjusted the temperature very quickly and I was able to sleep comfortably as if I was back home. Housekeepers were friendly (as everywhere else..) but the most notable thing that stood out to me was how quick and professional they were. I'd come back to my room thinking of requesting house keeping the next morning and find out my trash has been taken out and bedsheets replaced with fresh linens already provided. Very convenient. Smell of the room was not unpleasant nor fumed with fragrances (I have a sensitive nose). The bed was comfortable (I had a king) and pillows were not firm nor too soft. TV was surprisingly bigger than I expected, and a little closet with hangars were included which I found was a nice touch. Food. Complimentary breakfast was fresh. Every morning, food was ready and prepared with the tables and floors wiped clean. There was no obnoxiously loud music, or overwhelming smell (e.g. from the kitchen, trash) it was a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me felt right at home. The staff was readily available and did not hesitate to assist. This was a perfect stay for couples retreat and I will add to my list of safe haven. Thank you to the staff at Hyatt Place at Prince George for a welcoming and heart warming stay. Mahalo

Before I give the wrong impression I have to say that the room was very nicely furnished, very clean and very, very sound-isolated from other rooms. We barely heard another soul. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Now, for the bit I didn't like... The breakfast was sad. Even allowing for Covid, it was sparse to say the least (and, no, we didn't stroll down three minutes to the end of breakfast time). The lemonade was pretty good, though. But, my biggest disappointment was how badly we slept. Now, I think a furnace you can control from your own room is a spectacular idea; however, without a word of exaggeration, it sounded like we were sleeping in the engine bay of a WW2 fishing trawler. All night long. And, given that we were originally booked there so we could attend a trial at the courthouse, sleep was pretty high on our list. So, overall, I think they're great but, they have room to improve.
