My wife & I stayed at the Crest after catching the ferry from Vancouver Island and am so glad we did. The staff were so helpful. brought a requested kettle to our room within minutes (as we don't drink coffee). The room is very upmarket, loved the opening windows and I couldnt believe how modest the cost was, compared to some hotels/ motels we stayed at in BC & Alberta who charged twice as much for half the bang. One of the few we stayed at that didn't offer free brekkie but we ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and great food at a fair price.
Speaking to a friend we caught up with in Langley a couple of weeks later , who travels around BC & Alberta on business frequently and he said he will only stay at the Crest when he is in Prince Rupert, I can see why!
The rooms at the Crest are beautiful with a window seat overlooking the harbour. Ate at the restaurant in advance of checking in and the food was excellent. I would have given it 5 stars with one exception, Their 'to go' food counter - after a late return to the hotel I needed food but couldn't get the attention of any of the restaurant staff to buy something so ended up going to bed without food. The next morning I wanted to go food and had to wait quite a while to once again get anyone's attention. It is a beautiful hotel and the front desk staff were lovely.
The window seat view framed rocky shores, calm waters, sunny skies and fabulous sunsets! The harbour-side room was beautifully appointed with a luxurious bathroom with both shower and large tub with a view. Our meals in the water-front restaurant were excellent. The art collection in the lobby was of very high quality. Easy parking and a professional staff.
we arrived in Prince Rupert after midnight via train. straight to bed ,next morning we awoke to the most fantastic view from our room over looking the sea front and islands. the room was large and very well equipt, great choice by our travel company. The bar and restaurant also overlook the sea front with an outside balcony, great atmosphere in there and the food looked good too. Well situated close by cow lane and town centre, worth requesting a sea view when booking.rated the best hotel in town deserves this accolade.
