Once we were permitted to travel within BC, we arranged to visit family in the Kootenays.

We found Trail quite expensive, but the SureStay in Rossland was more reasonable. Unfortunately, the website hadn't been updated, so many of the amenities listed weren't actually available, due to covid. I get that, but at least ensure your website is correct in what is being offered.

Breakfast was only one option - a bag with a small apple, small store-bought muffin, and a box of orange juice.

We opted for no daily housekeeping service, and we were able to get a few days of coffee from the housekeeping staff, so we were good to go :)

We appreciated the air conditioner, but it was very loud, and we had to turn up the tv whenever it kicked in. The tv volume was capped, so we just had to roll with it. Aside from that, we loved the huge tv :D

For some reason, our room's window didn't open, but we could see many other rooms had windows that opened. We would have appreciated some fresh air.

Just a heads up - the bathroom was tiny. Very tiny. The phrase "had to go outside to change my mind" rings true here. Once you were in the shower, you had space, and the water pressure and shower head were good.

Hi Anne, Thank you for your review. We want to be the best value hotel you can find in Rossland, while providing a clean and comfortable stay for all of our guests. We have had to make adjustments during this time, which have been done with both guest and employee safety in mind, such as our breakfast offering and our housekeeping services. We are happy to be able to offer air conditioning, and those rooms have individual units which give you full control over them, which means it is right there with you in your room. We do have some security features on our windows, but if you ever have an issue just let our front desk team know and we will help out right away. I hope we see you again! Guest Relations Manager

If you're looking for an affordable hotel near Red Mountain, this is the place. The rooms are mall but comfortable and the price is lower than any other hotel in the area that I'm aware of. It's a 4 minute drive to the Red Mountain parking lot. Breakfast is included but items are limited in variety. Recommended.

Hi Mike, Thank you for your review. We aim to be a clean and comfortable place that anyone can stay at. During the ski season I think we are the closest place beyond being directly on the mountain, but we don't charge nearly what the ski hill can and we include a breakfast too as you noted. I hope we see you again soon!

Just ok.

Internet runs slow and pages load up slowly.

Tv is not adjustable on settings and picture is so dark and with volume maxing out at 25. Couldn't even run the fan or ac when trying to watch a movie.

Hot tub has 6 jets running and with one being powerful enough. Would be a nice touch to have two plastic chairs at hot tub area to place towels and clothes on instead of on the ground!

Hoping for at least a half decent breakfast in the am from only 7 am to 9 am just to know.

It’s newly renovated and everything is nice and new. Beds are comfortable and the AC works well. We always stay here when passing through town on our travels. Very quiet as well which is nice you don’t hear the traffic which I was nervous about.

So disappointed with our stay...after a long drive we arrived to the hotel and were told that if we wanted air conditioning we had to take an upper floor room, they don't have an elevator and I have difficulty with stairs so we stayed on the ground floor. Our room was uncomfortably warm and we didn't sleep well. The next morning they didn't have breakfast, which their website said they still did, instead we were given a paper bag with 4 apples! WTH!? They also didn't have the hot tub operating... when I asked for a discount I was told they couldn't possibly do that... not impressed😕

I stayed at this hotel recently and was pleasantly surprised. The room was very comfortable with new beds, linens, a huge wall mounted TV, and all other amenities expected at high priced accommodations. The outdoor hot tub was an added bonus and I can see it being magical during ski season and winter.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will be back here next time i'm in the Rossland/Trail area.

Perfect place just a little out of town. Clean and just what we needed. Due to Covid no breakfast just grab bags which were not amazing, but hard with restrictions in place.

Has hot tub back open and they also let us use the ski storage for our bikes

We stayed here for one night during our road trip. The hotel was fine.
Check in took awhile and the room felt a bit small bit it had everything we needed.
The only negative was location. We had to walk on the highway to get into town.

We were going to the ski hill for New Year's Eve celebration and this hotel is very close to the hill, restaurants/pubs, as well as the town of Rossland. The hot tub was in great condition, a perfect soak on a cold day. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Disgusting. Most of the room was visibly dirty - dirty bed ruffles, floor, walls. Couldn’t even be bothered putting the pillow cases on the pillows. Breakfast included?? That’s another joke. An apple, individual yogurt? Then don’t advertise breakfast if you don’t serve one.
