Detailed Reviews
Clean, comfortable and lovingly restored, the Guest House is bright and so well appointed that the fine quality cooking utensils made cooking a delight. Wish we could have stayed longer. Beds had two soft pillows per person and bedside tables on each side were set with reading lamps. The big screen TV had a large selection of channels, perfect for watching the Rio Olympics.

Warm, comfortable, big kitchen equipped with everything you need, full laundry, plus Angela's kind, friendly, easy-going manner make this the best place to stay in Rossland. This was our third time at Angela's, and we'll stay there next time as well. Thank you Angela!

Went to check in at the 'guest house' basement suite. Furniture old and saggy. Checked the basement of the other B & B, again old furniture and you better not be taller have 5'10". Both top floors were booked so didn't see this rooms. Suggest she take a look at other B&Bs in the Okanagan Valley and see how they are decorated.
Thank goodness for the Prestige Hotel.

Response from Angelahost, Owner at Angela's B&B and Guest House
Responded Oct 9, 2013
Yes, back in 2010 some of the furniture was old, and after reading this review I went shopping. Guests often give me helpful suggestions, so their good ideas are incorporated into the regular upgrades. Some of the furniture is antique, harmonising with the 1930's architecture. But where new is important, I provide it... like excellent beds, kitchen equipment and BBQs etc. I appreciate the helpful criticism, but this reviewer also rated sleep quality low after looking for 2 minutes... not enough time for a nap! We all have bad days, I guess. I learned from this review, even if I didn't agree with much of it. Thanks.

We had to be in town for two nights and Angela graciously shuffled things around so that we could do that. We had the bottom floor of the B&B (there is also a guesthouse out back) . There was a living room with a wood stove and lot's of comfy chairs and a kitchen area with a microwave and electric kettle. It was very cozy. There is also an outdoor hot tub.
Angela is a very kind, funny , well-traveled and generous woman who takes really great care of you. Unlike some B & B's I've been to, there is no curfew and no fussiness. When we went out for the day, she would come in and tidy everything up and replenish our breakfast supplies.
Rossland is a really cool town and if I am ever back there , I'm going to book early so that my boyfriend and I can stay here. Thanks Angela! You are a super cool lady.

Stayed with family for a ski holiday and had a great time. Third time staying there and as always a great place to stay. Hot tub at end of day after a good day of skiing. Angela was very accommodating for all our needs.

We stayed at Angela's for just one night although the guesthouse where we were is suited for a longer stay. Eggs, milk, bread yogurt, fruit and good coffee were provided for our breakfast. We were two couples so one of us slept in one of two bedrooms on the main floor which shares a bathroom and the other couple slept upstairs (which can actually sleep four in 2 singles and a double bed) where there is a second bathroom.
It isn't fancy and is quite old but provides all one needs for a comfortable stay. It was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. There are two tables with chairs and ample seating in the living room where there is a decent sized TV (good for watching the Olympics).
One warning: only have one shower at a time. The pressure can't support two simultaneously.
A good spot for a family or group.

Our family of 5 (2 college sons and one high school son) stayed in the Fireplace Suite in Angela's basement for 3 nights while we skied at Red Mountain. Angela is what makes this place 5 stars. Her personality and attentiveness are top notch. She has an amazing way of making every single member of our family feel cared for. She went out of her way to accommodate us, even putting a dozen organic eggs in the fridge for breakfast, even though we didn't purchase her continental breakfast.
The suite isn't luxurious but neither are we. It was downright homey and perfect for our family. We had free access to her kitchen upstairs and she even insisted on doing our dishes. A memorable moment was when she asked our family to play her guitar. Our sons obliged and gave her a mini-concert which she seemed to thoroughly enjoy.
Located less 4 blocks from downtown and a 5 minute drive to Red Mountain, we couldn't ask for anything better, especially for the price. It was truly one of the best vacations we've ever had and can't wait to return!

We stayed in Angelas guest house during a moutain bike trips to rossland. It is a beautiful, very clean guest house. It is located in a quiet area just a few minutes walk away from the center of rossland. It offers a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with comfortable sofas for relaxing and a large TV. The wifi works reliably and quickly.
A highlight is the garden of the guesthouse and the Angelas bed and breakfast which is directly opposite the guest house. it is worthwhile to look over there and visit Angela. She is a characterful and pleasant person. We had a few fun hours with her! She had so many suggestions what we could do or where to go and helped us a lot. Thus you can only recommend to stay there!

This was our 3rd stay at Angela's. The suites are clean and well stocked with everything you would need. Perfect location, 3 blocks to downtown, and 2 blocks to the trails. If you are there in the winter, Angela is a longtime Red Mnt Ski bum and is more than happy to share where the best snow is. If you are there in the summer, you get to relax in her spectacular garden. She goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying your vacation. It is always hard to leave.

Jonas wrote: " Angela is more than happy to share where the best snow is". Well, yes, especially with adventurous mountain-loving guests like these guys. And with Grey Mountain opening this winter there should be some sweet new lines for all. But "no friends on a powder day" is still the rule ;-)
