I was over charged for a plant. So I called the store to let them know I would be coming in for a refund of the difference. The woman who answered the phone this evening blatantly hung up on me as I was thanking her for her help. She was really rude. Unacceptable really. It was their error not mine. Today I was refused my refund and was told that I got a good deal. The price I was charged was not the price on the item. I was charged more. I was told "good luck with that" by the owner when I said I would make sure people knew about how she yelled at me and refused the 10 refund. I was told that the price on the item would be honoured when I initially purchased the plant. It was not. The owner treated me like crap and was ridiculously rude. I realize 10 dollars might not seem like much to some but it makes a difference to me! This was dirty and very disappointing.

Recently spent 3 nights in the Green Cabin. My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to simply get away from it all and spend some time in nature. In the quiet. The green cabin is very bare bones but functional. Bedrooms a good distance apart - plenty of room for two people. Three outdoor spaces to enjoy. Two wonderful vintage chaise lounges to sit and stitch. Plenty of shade when the sun is out. The property is 27 acres - not all of it agriculture. Two other cabins within shouting distance remained empty for the first two nights then booked in. The atmosphere got noisy really fast - would suggest booking midweek if possible. Would be perfect for large families looking for separate accommodations and a common garden area or a retreat base camp. Near the end of June there were plenty of plantings up for our inspection - we are encouraged to look and not touch. Plenty of greens-aces. We walked through the forest for miles without seeing anyone. Owner/operaters were available and visible throughout the day working away. Very close to Long Harbour, where we arrived and departed from, just 5 minutes from Ganges.

was a peaceful homey getaway. With covid19 its the best place to be because you have lots of room to move around. Jeanne-Marie is amazing but dare say Cheetah is right up there as well!! My sister, niece and I kept saying how we would definitely return in the future. The produce basket was incredibly delicious and fresh. We stayed in the big house with lots of room, cozy beds and lovely surroundings. What more do you need. Great little island to tour around and check out

We had an amazing 2 night stay at Foxglove Farm (in an updated early 1900's log cabin) with awesome hosts Jeanne-Marie and Michael. Foxglove is a working farm and we were lucky enough to participate in a tour given by Michael, who is totally passionate about his farming lifestyle. Jeanne-Marie put together a wonderful basket of fresh produce for us to take home. All-in-all, a great stay on Saltspring.

This was my husbands and my second visit to Foxglove Farm, and to be honest, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. The farm is perfection in every way. Our cottage was clean and cozy, with a well equipped kitchen, and a deck to sit on to relax and enjoy the scenery. There are trails to walk, as well as close access to town when we wanted to do some shopping. Best place on Salt Spring by far!!

We had a great stay at Foxglove Farm. Traveling with our two young kids (2 and 6 months) it's hard to find places where you can relax and feel at home but this was certainly one of them. We stayed in the Green Cottage which is simple but has everything you need as well as a nice deck and outdoor space. Our little boy enjoyed running run the farm, watching the chickens and playing with Megan the dog. We also got a produce basket which was full of delicious fruit and veg and was plenty for our 3 days on the farm. The location is great; beautiful/peaceful setting, 10 mins from Ganges and convenient for a trip up to Mount Maxwell (which is spectacular, if a little bumpy on the way)

My wife, kids, and I spent the weekend here and found that it simply did not come close to living up to the marketing hype of being a destination/experience for foodies. We paid $225/night plus $50 cleaning fee (before tax) for the green cottage which was a very modest and somewhat shabby one bedroom building. After being greeted by one of the farm workers (who told us that we could go swim in a nearby reservoir which we then trekked out to only to find out that swimming was prohibited by a posted sign) we neither saw nor heard from anyone for a couple days. Based on the marketing and pricing we had an expectation that there was some kind of program/tours (or any kind of hospitality/service) onsite but there was really no one around and nothing to do other than a self-guided tour of the fields. They sold us on a $60 basket of organic vegetables but we actually never used the vegetables as the cottage/property was not inviting enough for us to stay and cook - we honestly found it kind of depressing driving back to this place in the evening after the fun days/nights out in Salt Spring. On subsequent research we found that we could have had an almost new waterfront cabana (sleeping 4+) on St Mary Lake for $170 night which would have been a steal compared to this place.

In some ways the best thing about Foxglove Farms was our ability to do whatever we wanted - roam the gardens, explore the countryside, walk up to Maxwell Park, cook meals with the fabulous garden baskets of fresh veggies and farm eggs (purchased with the reservation), or have cocktails among the lush apple and pear trees. We stayed in the red cabin so washroom and kitchen in different buildings, but an easy 30 second and 60 second walk away. My sister said it looked like a fairy cottage. Beds and bedding comfy. Fans supplied for the heat wave. We would return. About 10 to 12 minutes down the hill to town. This is a working farm. Happy chickens!

We loved your visit too bad we were so busy harvesting that we could not join you for cocktails during the heat wave. Thank you for coming to visit the "Old World"

A wonderful escape back to the tranquil, slow rhythm of nature and life on an organic, working farm. A step back in time, just what I needed. This is such a gorgeous piece of land, surrounded by forest, fields and orchards, farmed and cared for by a wonderful (and extremely hard working) couple, Michael and Jean Marie. The little green cabin was very comfortable, charming and clean. It had everything I needed with it's front porch and windows looking out to the growing fields and forest. A real bonus were the family pets, a sweet and gentle dog, Megan, and three friendly cats. It was a slice of heaven and I hope to return soon.

What an amazing place!! I honestly cant think of anywhere I would prefer to be on vacation, or even just a few days away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Upon arrival, my husband and I were transported to an idyllic setting from a bygone era, where the stress of life just melted away. Our "Green" cottage was immaculately clean and cozy, with a welcome basket of organic vegetables in the fridge. Our stay was made even more special with the addition of our farm "friends" - an adorable dog called Meghan, who happily took us on a walk through the trails around the farm. Then we were able to spend a cozy evening by the fire enjoying the simple things in life. Jeanne-Marie was a gracious hostess, who made sure that we were well looked after. Cant say enough about this place - just perfection. Cant wait to go back.

Clare and Andrew, It was a treat to host you... Megan certainly thought so. You can't fool her when you arrive with a car full of treat just for her. I am trilled that you enjoyed the full circle of weather we experienced on the Mountain in the days you stayed. from rain to sun to snow. Cheetah was sad you left as well. The evening fires were just for him. We would be delighted to have you back anytime. Try another season ( other than winter) and the produce baskets will be overflowing!. Cheers, Jeanne-Marie and animal friends
