Detailed Reviews
Jeanne-Marie at Foxglove Farms made our two-night stay there absolutely amazing. We brought a large group and utilized both the indoor bookable spaces and the camping field. She went above and beyond to source us porta-potties, offer a farm tour, and give us a chance to engage with farming while we were there. I cannot say enough amazing things about Foxglove Farms.

We have been to Foxglove Farm three times already and I can’t wait to go back. Each season has something special to offer and it’s perfect for family getaways, couples or solo retreats. Foxglove to me is more than a place to stay, it’s an all senses experience that starts with the view of the lavish fields and it’s completed with scrumptious harvest baskets with fresh produce and eggs directly from the farm. They have the most fragrant Charentais melon I’ve ever tried!
The loving owners Michael and Jeanne- Marie, are warm and friendly hosts and you can tell Foxglove is a labour of love. The thoughtful details like handsewn quilts and charming antiques that decorate the cabins are a beautiful touch that makes the stay even more special. Whether you are looking for a farm-to-table experience or a peaceful getaway full of reading and long walks, I fully recommend Foxglove as a wholesome vacation spot.

A fantastic and peaceful retreat. Staying on this historic farm was nourishing to both body and soul. A great way for my family and I to unplug and slow down. Definitely get a farm fresh basket of produce and walk the grounds in the cool mornings when the roosters crow. A magical experience with fantastic people that own and run the farm.
We met the other guests who were staying in houses next to ours on the farm and that became a very nice connection for us and our children as well.

was a peaceful homey getaway. With covid19 its the best place to be because you have lots of room to move around. Jeanne-Marie is amazing but dare say Cheetah is right up there as well!! My sister, niece and I kept saying how we would definitely return in the future. The produce basket was incredibly delicious and fresh. We stayed in the big house with lots of room, cozy beds and lovely surroundings. What more do you need. Great little island to tour around and check out

We arrived early for our reservation and asked to see the Green Cottage (our reserved accommodation). I am so happy we got to look at it as the pictures are nothing like the actual cottage. I went inside and found it to be dirty (not because it hadn't been entirely cleaned from the last guest) - this place would need lots of cleaning to make it even begin to look like the pictures. The carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and there was a big "grease like" head spot on the back of the sofa. At least we didn't have to argue with them about cancelling our reservation as they didn't have one for us.

I stayed at the farm in the red cabin and was somewhat let down by the accommodation. The farm itself is lovely and the food being produced commendable. The cabin was very small but that didn't bother me. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. My issues are with the practicality of the washroom/bathroom situation. The bathroom was shared with the farm workers and in the morning they were up early (as was I). I had to walk through their kitchen area to access the bathroom we all shared and felt that I was never relaxed to use the washroom at my leisure as it was also being used by half a dozen more people sitting right outside the bathroom door eating. This would have been less of an issue had there been at least a decent mirror in the cabin with which I could get ready for my day. This would have allowed me to simply brush my teeth and clean my face and do the rest of my preparation in my cabin. The bathroom was in one building and the rustic "barn turned kitchen" in another. Both buildings were close but it would be a good idea to provide your guests with a
flashlight in case of a needed bathroom visit in the middle of the night. I also am of the opinion that you should make it clear in your description that there is no WiFi access in the cabin. Again, not the end of the world, but I was on Salt Spring working and had planned on preparing for a presentation while there and this was not possible due to a lack of Internet access. I think that for the rate charged the facilities offered are lacking.

I stayed here with my family for three days for the Canada day weekend. We stayed in the Log Cabin and had an incredible time! It's a quite location with nice scenery and lots of options for walking/hiking trails up Mt. Maxwell.
The produce was exceptional and I would highly encourage you to get a basket if you decide to stay at the farm. The apprentices on the farm were very friendly and helpful and it helped create a real community feeling. I look forward to visiting again!
We did the hike from the farm to the summit from Foxglove farm and I would recommend it. You get a lovely panorama view from hiking trail number 6.

Second visit; hoping to make it annual! Perfect place to recalibrate on a gorgeous, working farm with spectacular 'fields of plenty.' (Who knew a raspberry could taste like that?!) Owned by original founders of the modern farm-to-table movement. Just being in their presence is a gift. Cabins are charming, comfortable and well-priced. Easy drive to downtown. One note: red cabin requires a shared bthrm and cooking in another nearby bldg. (which was actually fun). Book well ahead to score two cabins with kitchen & bath (green cabin is our aspiration). That said, we enjoyed the rustic, "true" nature of the adorable red cabin. In short, unplug and go! go! go! It's heaven.

The stillness at foxglove makes you forget the existence of time, of past experiences and of future desires. Everything is still, pure, and beautiful. Only the present moment is of imortance.
Within a mere two nights, my partner and I found new layers of ourselves amongst the apple trees and the hospitable enhabitants of the land. Yes, all beings are equal at foxglove; from insects to birds, from canine to human. Everything has its equal place, and everything is made possible through the guidance of Jeanne-Marie, michael and their devoted horticultural warriors.
But enough poetry! Go and see it. for you'll never view food, your relationships, or your place in the world the same way again!

My husband, three year old son and I just stayed in the Log Cabin at Foxglove Farm and had a wonderful time. The fruits, produce and eggs basket that we pre-ordered tasted amazing and we heard that this farm has some of the best produce on the island so we were not disappointed. The log house was rustic - no microwave, dishwasher and spotty wifi - but this was all part of the experience. My son loved it so much he said he wanted to "stay forever and ever"!
