In September, my wife and I spent four nights at the Hummingbird Hill B&B, in the Hummingbird Suite. We could not have been more pleased. As other reviews say, Jill is a gracious host and provides delicious breakfasts (the first two mornings). Hummingbird Hill is near Ruckle Park (with trails for hiking) and Fulford and is an easy drive to...

We stumbled upon Hummingbird Hill while looking for a pet-friendly accommodation on Salt Spring Island. We had no idea that in looking for something to suit our dog, that we would find such an incredible B&B that was the perfect balance of private and social - where we felt well taken care of and that we could come and go...

Our second visit, beautiful, peaceful, relaxing getaway. Loved the hot tub with its amazing views and resident frog! Jill is a caring, considerate and accommodating host and we thoroughly enjoyed her granola and home made muffins. Cody my dog had a great time and loved his treats also. Hope to be back again! We have stayed at Hummingbird Hill B & B on two different occasions. Both visits have been a great experience. The view is superb and the accommodations are peaceful and comfortable. Jill is a great host, always a wonderful greeting from Jill and Ray. We brought our dog and she was pampered as well.

We decided to go to Salt Spring Island-Hummingbird Hill, Parkville and Powell River. However Hummingbird Hill was the highlight for our trip. The hot tub and view is worth on its own. Jill is just so lovely and one of the hardest working individuals. Her place is clean and best of all pet friendly. You can even have your pet...

I enjoyed my two nights at Hummingbird Hill so so much!! The teahouse is just so sweet, tranquil and beautiful. I felt my whole body let out a huge sigh of relief when I saw it!! Perched high on the hill, the view is absolutely stunning and mornings sipping tea on the balcony looking out into the valley and the...

Jill is amazing. Her location is amazing. We were a group of adult soccer players in town for the annual Salt Spring May Long weekend Tournament and Jill gave us an amazing place to stay, relax, and enjoy the scenery. The fully loaded main suite gave us the comfort to BBQ and relax in a quiet setting, have a spot...

Your first impression will be how spectacular the view is from the Japanese TeaHouse. This private, minimalist, yet well equipped room/cabin is perfectly tucked away at the highest point of the beautiful Hummingbird Hill property. Although you are never far away from the main house with your full washroom/shower (2 mins) it feels like you are on your own in...

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this lovely b & b a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't have been happier about our experience! Jill was very welcoming to us and our dog, Alder (whom she nicknamed "Mr. Alders"), and quietly delivered warm muffins and croissants to our patio before we got up every morning. She also stocked...

Great place to be to get the real essence of Salt Spring! The house is nestled up in the trees on the side of the hill overlooking the misty valley below. Sitting on the garden suite patio, one can hear the hum of the hummingbird wings as they fly by while you eat the gourmet breakfast Jill has so lovingly...

“The Japanese tea house is small but charming and has an amazing view of the valley and the ocean. It's very private and quiet. If you wake easily when the sun comes up, book the smaller bedroom. It's darker and you can sleep in longer during the long summer days.”
