An absolutely idyllic spot. My wife and I spent a wonderful 3 days at the Inn and would have loved to stay longer. The gardens are truly remarkable, like Butchart Gardens minus the crowds! We were awoken every morning by a knock on the door and a tray of delicious coffee and homemade cookies left at the door. We sat out on our private balcony savouring the gorgeous view and the peaceful babbling of the waterfalls. Breakfasts were a delicious selection of homemade breads and jams, fruit, granola etc, with full cooked breakfasts also available (we didn't feel the need with the sumptuous spread provided). The rooms were beautifully appointed and very comfortable; in fact the entire inn was lovely, with plenty of original artwork. As for the grounds, you could retire to read in the Adirondack chairs on the little dock on the koi-stocked pond, or enjoy the hot tub or mosaic-tiled swimming pool, all in their own private nooks in the beautiful gardens. The Inn is conveniently located just a short drive from Ganges (and, in fact, all of the island). Finally, any description of the Inn wouldn't be complete without mention of Stephanie, our wonderful host, and her husband Les. We hope to make it back to the West Coast again soon, and we can't imagine being in this part of the world without staying at The Wetherly Inn again.

It was all the 5 star reviews on Trip Advisor that sold us on Wetherly Inn so we need to add our own. From the moment we walked through the door, we knew this place was something special. We stayed in the King room for 6 nights and came away far more refreshed than we started. The stillness was almost tangible – apart from the frogs at night which by the end of the stay were comforting. The house is elegant. The gardens are beautiful and relaxing. Unfortunately, the weather was not great while we were there so we could not make as much use of the gardens as we would have liked. Early morning coffee/tea/fruit juice with cookies is delivered to your door. The breakfasts are good with home made bread and a home made dessert. A couple of days we added a cooked breakfast (at additional cost). The spa was also great. We both had hot stones massages. Stephanie was a great hostess with lots of good recommendations. We enjoyed walks in Ruckle Park and at Burgoyne Bay. Guests definitely need a car as the Inn is about ten minutes out of Ganges and 15 to Fulford. The Inn is at the top of an unpaved road. If you are looking for somewhere to slow down in beautiful surroundings, we cannot recommend Wetherly Inn highly enough.

We had the luxury of spending three days at the beautiful Wetherly Inn in Salt Spring, BC. From the moment we arrived throughout our stay we found the customer service, food, and accommodations superior. After traveling throughout BC it was nice to find a peaceful place, that allowed us to melt into the landscape. The owner's love for their property speaks volumes about how much they cared for it and how important it was to attend to every detail to ensure it maintained its special quality.

We were at the Wetherly in July and it was just as lovely as we remembered. Quiet and peaceful, with a small number of guests and very discreet hosts. The main house has a number of rooms, each with AC, well appointed, with views over the garden. The breakfast is always delicious - freshly baked fruit tart or crumble, lovely yogurt, fresh fruit, granola, coffee etc. The beautiful gardens include a pool, a hot tub and a pond. You will need a car to explore the island or motor scooters, or if you have fantastic lungs, a bicycle. Salt Spring is very hilly/mountainous. We visited the apple cider place for great lunches, and Appleluscious for a tour with Harry, and the Salt Spring bakery where we had a terrific chat with the owner/architect about the island. Fantastic farmers and artists on the island - you will learn something new every day.

I am always on the lookout for amazing places to stay locally (my husband and I live in Surrey, BC) and boy does Wetherly Inn meet the mark! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in July. With a hard year behind us, we were looking for a place to really relax, and we found it here. The grounds and gardens are absolutely stunning, a true work of art. You can see the labour of love that went into building the gardens, and the loving care and attention that goes into maintaining the grounds. Flowers and plants abound, lazy bumblebees and dragonflies flit about, and the constant murmur of bubbling water infuses the air, soothing the soul. There are many private spots to sit and read a book or just soak in the peaceful atmosphere. The pool is warm and inviting. The property is up there with the most beautiful places we have ever had the pleasure to visit, not just locally but internationally. We LOVED the special touch of coffee/tea being delivered to our room in the mornings. We would sit on our little balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens and sip coffee in the sunshine, before heading down to a delicious breakfast in the sunlit breakfast room. Your hosts, Steph and Les are warm and welcoming and we loved meeting the resident cats. If you are adults looking for kid-free enclave of peace, tranquility and beauty, this is the place. We will definitely be back!

We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary so did a road trip to beautiful British Columbia. It was our first time going to Salt Spring Island, and decided to book a room at the beautiful Wetherly Inn. Oh my! What an absolute treat! It is an incredible beautiful house/ inn, with stunning grounds. We felt spoiled by welcoming staff and honestly every need was met. We love the peace and serenity, the seclusion. Perfect romantic getaway. The room was beautiful, access to a small kitchen for snacks, great recommendations for hiking, amazing flowers, relaxing hot tub, yummy breakfasts, and wonderful trails to explore. Thank you for this incredibly special spot, and we will definitely be back again.

Thank you Samantha, Stephanie and Peter to welcome us again for the 3rd time at the place I call paradise and where I like to escape to from the city. Whether one stays in one of the beautiful rooms in the main house or – like us now for the second time – in the lovely cottage, it is always a memorable experience. The picturesque gardens with softly rustling waterfalls, serene seating areas by the lily ponds, singing birds and the sweet herbal air of autumn makes ones stresses of the ordinary day dissipate … Staying in the well appointed cottage gives one the opportunity to create ones own feasts with a full oven/stove and bbq and all the essentials to get started. The evenings can be enjoyed in front of the wood-burning fireplace. Staying in the main house – we have been spoiled in the past with treats that were brought to the room to help one wake up with fresh coffee/tea, juice and a sweet delight before enjoying a superb breakfast with freshly baked bread, a selection of home-made jams, granola, fresh fruit salad, or fruit compote and more baked goods – just fabulous! If you ever get to enjoy their breakfast, you will know what I am talking about … This time, I have enjoyed an amazing RMT massage by Chloe, I can only recommend. The spa facilities are brand-new and very inviting, like all other amenities from the gym, pool and hot tub, there is plenty to keep one occupied if not exploring the sites of Salt Spring Island. It was tough to leave and all I can say is … “thank you for your hospitality and see you again next year” …
