We needed a covid get away and decided on Tofino as it would be easy to social distance. We enjoyed our stay at the Tin Wis as it was peaceful with lovely beach views, especially nice at sunrise. We had a kitchenette unit so we cooked most of our own meals. The resort doesn't have a restaurant at the present time. A takeaway breakfast is available in the lobby from 7am - 10 am. You could get breakfast sandwiches, cereal, milk, juice, fruit and I think muffins as well. Because of covid there is no housekeeping, you just let the front desk know what you need and they bring it to you. The hot tub is open but you have to book a 45 minute time slot each day. All the evening times were usually gone by 7 am so you had to be up early to get a time booked. The Laundry had just opened up again so we were able to wash clothes. $2.25 for a washer, $1.25 for a dryer, you need both loonies and quarters. The front desk doesn't give change, we were told to go to Beaches store up the road. They have firewood available at the front desk if you wanted to have a fire on the beach, I don't know the cost though. Chris at the front desk was awesome, so friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back to the Tin Wiz on our next Tofino trip. The resort is also pet friendly for anyone travelling with their fur babies.…
The Tin Wis rooms have an amazing view of the ocean. The rooms are good and the staff are friendly. There are Covid protocols in place which have some impact to your stay but, Covid is not their doing. Sit out on your patio and watch the ocean either in the morning and have your Rhino coffee or sit on your patio in the evening and enjoy your Tofino Brewery Blonde Ale. Either way its very relaxing
Nice will appointed, updated room to stay with our pup. They even had towels, a blanket, bowls and treats for him in the room. Nice view of the ocean and also a nice view from the hot tub. First time I’ve been in Tofino with snow! Lovely quiet couples trip.
Couples trip for a couple of nights. When you walk into your room the view is quite breathtaking; beachfront at it's best. Room is spacious and generous. Ours had a fireplace and ktichenette that was more than adequte with a couple of burners and dishes and pots and pans. Included breakfast is now a grab and go in the lobby with lots of items to choose from and breakfast sandwiches to heat up in your room. in-room Keurigs with supplied coffee and creamers make it all you need to start your day. There is an outdoor hot tub that you book your private 45 minute time in that works well. Resort offers firewood for beach fires and the grounds and beach are lovely for strolls. Free parking, good in-room wifi and very helpful and accommodating staff. Would be good for families too.…
We stayed for our daughter’s birthday. She received a lovely surprise at the beginning of the stay. What a nice touch! The room’s are large and nicely appointed. We brought our dog so we are on the main floor which was nice. We also had a kitchenette. The room upon arrival was clean. The rooms are quiet and have a great view of the beach. The grounds are very nice and our dog loved long runs on the beach. The breakfast has many choices which is nice. We look forward to coming back!
