My wife and I have spent the last three years at "The Wick" for Christmas. From the live tree with hand made decorations in the room to the personalized printed menus, waiting on our dinner table, for our dietary issues...this hotel just can't be surpassed. The Christmas stocking in the room with various trinkets is another wonderful touch. The staff...

For our 50 th wedding anniversity we booked into the Wickaninnish Inn on the west coast of Vancouver Island. The hotel was absolutely marvelous. Our room was one of the "Premier Rooms" in the Point Building. When we entered our room, we were amazed. Two walls were floor to ceiling glass with a fireplace in the center of one wall. The...

I won't tell you what room we stayed in, because I don't want it to be booked when we're next there. The view from our room was breathtaking. We were welcomed, our first night, with cocktails with our host (hotel owner), Charles. Saturday, there was a hike through the rainforest with Kat. We have been to the hotel and hiked...

Please ignore this hotel. The Wickanninish Inn is a perfect, quiet, eco-hotel that will be spoiled by too many guests. What if next time I stayed, there were more than a handful of people on the beach? This is west coast sublime, where rain forest meets the Pacific Ocean. From my balcony or bath-tub (yes, the windows in the bathroom...

I usually avoid luxury hotels and think they're overpriced, but here the cost is worth every penny. The location is unbeatable, the decor is thoughtful and honours local artists and craftspeople, the service is impeccable but not obsequious, and proprietor Charles MacDiarmid is personally involved in every aspect of the hotel. This is no chain operation, but the realization of...

We spent a get-away weekend at the Wickaninnish recently and couldn't have enjoyed the experience more. The service was as impeccable as the amenities in the room and all that with an amazing view of the winter surf from our ground floor room in the Beach House wing. We treated ourselves to the 7 course tasting menu with wine at...

We have just stayed for two nights and all I can say is this place is amazing. We haven't left, ate all meals here ( excellent ), walked the beach ( blessed with glorious weather ), got a coffee & took it to the library to enjoy the magnificent far reaching views. No photos can do the scenery justice !...

After travelling through heavy rains, waterfalls falling at the edge of the highway, our arrival to the Wick Inn and our cozy beautiful room with fireplace was heaven. The tide was out so we were able to walk the beach after a quick respite by the fire. We ate all our meals there...and why not, they were all fabulous and...

We found this place in Travel and Leisure serendipitously one day while planning a work trip to Vancouver. We decided to make the little jaunt over to the island and were not disappointed. This sleepy little town is a paradise on earth, and the hotel service and amenities are there to match. They thought of everything you need for traveling...

We've stayed at the Wick Inn 3 times over the past 10 years and have loved it every time. The scenery around Tofino is breathtaking, and the Wick Inn is the perfect place to return to after a day of hiking, bear watching, beach walks, or anything else that this beautiful part of the world inspires you to do. Beautifully...

Wickaninnish Inn, a Relais & Chateaux property since 1997, overlooks the Pacific Ocean from a rocky point on Vancouver Island’s rugged west coast, near the eclectic town of Tofino and Pacific Rim National Park. Two contemporary cedar buildings, set against a backdrop of ancient rainforest, boast an extensive local art collection (complemented by the neighbouring wood carving shed), and all rooms and suites offer ocean or beach views, gas fireplace, soaker tub and individual balcony. Uncompromising service, including a Clefs d’Or Concierge team, is a standard. The sole resort on Chesterman Beach, Tofino’s longest at 2.5km/1.5mi, the Inn is home to refined West Coast cuisine at The Pointe Restaurant and naturally-inspired treatments at its intimate Ancient Cedars Spa.
