We arrived late afternoon in the rain after a long journey. We had booked dinner and appetisers are usually served at 6pm but we wanted a little time to get ourselves together and unwind. The staff could not have been more accommodating and when we went across to the main lodge in the sister hotel about 7pm, notwithstanding that the...

This is a beautiful location Set up on a cliff away from everything else We stayed in a beach lodge room and I would have to say it was a bit too small and as we were on the ground floor with did benefit from a balcony area but suffered from noise from above! The great room is a wonderful...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Lodge. (Unfortunately we were joining another family and booked short notice so only could get a lodge room with a small Queen bed.) The resort is a very rustic with a great laid back vibe. Our favourite part of the property is the beautiful main sitting room lobby that overlooks the ocean....

We stayed 4 night in the main Lodge in room 31 which was amazing! The lodge was recommended by a friend and we were grateful. Spacious corner room with a sitting area and spacious bathroom. Lots of windows to admire the stunning views of the ocean and the tides. The balcony was our favourite spot first thing in the morning...

We stayed in Room 26 at the beach lodge recently and it was amazing. The room had 2 standing balconies, a small kitchenette including fridge, small dining area / table for two, king size bed, bathroom with bath and best of all the most amazing unobstructed view of the beach. All that we could need had been thought of and...

Stayed four nights in the Headlands Suite in the main lodge for our 30th Anniversary splurge. The views of the ocean and beach from our room and balcony were amazing and the sunsets spectacular. The staff at the lodge were very friendly, the breakfasts excellent and two dinners we took there were delicious. It was the highlight of a 3-week...

Had a fantastic 2 night stay here as part of a 2 week Vancouver/Vancouver Island Holiday, the rooms were rustic and cosy, great little kitchen in room and even board games in the lounge. The views are out of this world and the service was great! The only thing to mention would be the road/track leading up the hotel leaves...

We last stayed at MBL in 2005, in a room with a balcony facing the forest. In our memory, this was one of our favourite hotels ever. So, when we booked our stay this time, for our 10 year wedding anniversary, we booked a Deluxe cabin, and thought it would be an upgrade... Frankly, though, it was much less cozy....

This is a very nice place. Reception was very friendly. We stayed in a cabin : so nice! On the terrace you can watch the sunset. The breakfast is okay. The beach is nearby. Our boys loved it and so did we!

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Honeymoon package. On checking in and getting our room we immediately upgraded. The first room was small and dingy and didn't have room for our cases. This if I'm honest is probably our own fault based on our budget requirements when we booked through our agent, however...
