I had been fortunate to try out both the Rosewood Hotel Georgia as well as the L'hermitage. Price wise L'hermitage is not as expensive but with each hotel you can get good deals. As for my experience here, as much as I thought the staff were helpful with luggage etc it just wasn't able to be at the same level...

Very comfortable room. Location good for exploring Vancouver. Bonus of great Cafe next door (Medina) - extremely popular and good food. Free pushbikes were a great feature also - Vancouver is flat and easy to ride with designated bike paths on major roads.

This hotel is really well located, however when we stayed there was construction going on across the road so I asked to be moved the following day as it woke me up. The staff are friendly and the concierge was really helpful.

My husband and I recently stayed for 9 nights at L hermitage. The hotel is pretty much located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. We were able to walk anywhere in the city. The staff treat you with the highest of standard. What I really liked was the fact no matter wether it was the doorman or a housekeeper they...

There must be some pretty poor hotels in Vancouver if this is the number 1 rated. It was fine, but nothing exceptional. We had 2 rooms. One was a suite with a sofa bed in the lounge for 3 children. We arrived at night very tired only to find the sofa bed was not made up and we had to...

Three nights at the end of our Christmas holidays with family was a great ending to the holiday season. Well located, great decor and awesome room. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The terrace outside of our room would be great in the summer months. We opted for "Medina" next door for breakfast. Great spot. We will...

From our first contact with Anastasia before our arrival and Jason on our first stay before Christmas, who were full of great info for what to do, to ensuring our room was ready early (we arrived about 11.30 - check-in being normally 4pm). Fast forward to our last night before going home to Australia and Adam and Raymond, we could...

My husband and I stayed for 1 night in October 2014 with our 16month old. The hotel is in a great spot, very central and the décor is nice and modern with a classic touch. The hotel service was wonderful, they rang around and tried to find us a rental car (quite difficult to do on thanksgiving holiday) and were...

My husband & I stayed at this boutique hotel for 2 nights in December & chose it primarily for its central location in the city. It was very easy to walk to the shopping locations around us & to the restaurant we had booked for dinner one night. The hotel didn't disappoint us, the staff were all very welcoming & helpful....

It was a very nice hotel. I am extremely nit-picky, so my standards are rather extreme. I tend to find any and all problems. I slept well, and the hotel was very well staffed. I tend not to sleep very well in hotels, so that also says a lot too. The shower was also really nice. If you can afford...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
