We stayed in a family suite which was fantastic. It was really spacious with a separate living room and closed balcony area. The staff are unbelievably helpful and polite and the location is excellent for exploring Downtown and the surrounding districts.

A family of 4, we had a boutique suite for our 4 night stay in Vancouver. The room was lovely, well appointed and very clean. The hotel staff provided exceptionally attentive service and we must thank the General Manager, Mr Tanguy, for the personal attention he paid to our well-being during our stay. We highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Even though we both have family in Vancouver we decided to fly in and stay at a downtown hotel and be tourists in a city we have visited many times over the past thirty years. We researched the hotels and found this one to work best for us: spacious room with balcony on the 5th floor, lounge access for breakfast,...

A great stay here during construction. Service was wonderful and very professional. Very helpful front desk / concierge. Nice lounge area and great little swimming pool which was designed nicely into the architecture, and though nothing fancy, the sauna would please a Sweed ;) Rooms were great, comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay downtown Vancouver.

We recently spent 2 nights at L'Hermitage Hotel and wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is in a great location, who doesnt love Yaletown! The staff was so friendly and made our stay very special. The doorman even gave me a towel and a bottle of water after my SeaWall jog.Valet parking was a dream. The rooms are...

We chose L'Hermitage for our three-day, post-cruise stay based on its #1 rating on TripAdvisor and we weren't disappointed. The building is a combination of apartments and hotel, with just three floors devoted to the hotel. By my estimate, that makes it fewer than 60 rooms/suites in the hotel part. Quite the boutique hotel. The location is downtown, walking distance...

We happen to prefer smaller boutique hotels when we travel and L'Hermitage is perhaps one of the finest hotels we have ever visited. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Everyone was very, very friendly and very helpful with even the slightest problem. The concierge (Raymond) is 50 levels ABOVE exceptional. He can get you into any...

We were here on honeymoon and the service couldn't have been better. We ended up in a luxurious suite akin to a small apartment, the staff were friendly and always helpful. The gym was spacious, didn't try the pool. Very central for everything around town.

Due to procrastination, reviewing this wonderful hotel now--but had to add my review. Actual trip was May 2012. Visited hotel in May 2012 and it was the best hotel stay in Canada...probably one of my top in recent hotel stays! L'Hermitage Hotel was the perfect choice for annual girls' getaway and yes, we were treated like queens. From Mitchell, the...

Very impressed with the staff and everything about this hotel. My only complaint is I had to pay for a second room because I had one too may kids traveling with us... exceeded occupancy. But that is my fault because I was not careful enough when I booked. The rooms are really nice abd everything about the hotel was awesome......

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
