Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, staying at the Coast Coal Harbour was a nice getaway. We were able to take advantage of a flash deal and experience a hotel we would normally not be able to afford. The room was very clean and we felt safe by/from the sanitization and cleaning. The view was the best it could be and the floor to ceiling windows were wonderful!

The fancy bidet in the bathroom could have come with more written instructions, vs the images on the control, and its random noises and actions scared our 5 year old so we just unplugged it. The soap/bodywash/lotion/shampoo/conditioner was great and the amount of towels and variety of sizes for a family of three was good for a two night stay. Staff was very accommodating when we needed extra sleeping provisions and when we needed to swap bedding, even during the restrictions of COVID.

Dear Tiffany G, Thank you for staying with us and sharing your experience with others. We are pleased to read that even with the current pandemic you and your family felt safe with the increased sanitization and cleaning standards that the hotel has implemented and had an overall great stay. Your recommendation to include written instructions for the bidet is very much appreciated and something that we are taking into consideration. We hope to welcome you and your family back soon! Regards, Jessica

Very nice downtown hotel. Good COVID protocols in place. Very nice staff. Parking downtown is expensive during weekdays so it might be a good idea you get the valet parking versus trying to find public parking at a decent price - there's a lot of offer but it is confusing and at the end of the day, if you're planning to come in and out with your vehicle, it ends up costing more to do public parking. Staff were very conscientious in cleaning everything inside your vehicle in front of us after use of valet parking.

This was truly a great hotel. The staff went above and beyond to help us out getting around Vancouver and making us feel comfortable. My husband had a cast on his leg and it was snowing so the front desk lady put a laundry bag on his leg so he would not get his cast wet when we went outside. The food in the restaurant was great. We felt really safe in the area as we walked to the places we went and would return to this hotel anytime we return to Vancouver.

This hotel was good value for the money compared to others of similar quality in the area. The front staff helped us with booking a taxi and advice on getting local dinner. Room service menu (we didn't use it) and large comfortable beds were great as was the location relevant to the things on offer for tourists in Vancouver

Beautiful, big hotel. Absolutely spotless. Friendly front desk clerk and check-in was super fast. Room was super clean and well-stocked. Just our personal preference, but we found the mattress and pillows to be extremely hard. Valet parking was great as our vehicle was brought to the front right away. Restaurants close by that was open due to the pandemic was The Cactus Club (walking distance).

We recently stayed at the Cost Coal Harbour in Vancouver and found it to be a comfortable hotel in an excellent location. Walking distance to Stanley Park, the Convention Center, 3 or 4 blocks away from Robson Street, a block off the waterfront where there are some great places to walk and dine.

The hotel itself was comfortable, the service was good and any questions were answered quickly and correctly. We were on a higher floor on the water side so had a nice view of Burrard Inlet and Stanley Park from our room. It was quiet, and for being in the middle of a large city you felt very safe venturing out to explore. Be aware of the Parking fees before you go as they can add up pretty quickly.

Overall a very good experience, and we would definetly go back.

Hotel was in a very convenient location. Walking distance to most main tourist attractions.
I wish as a 4 star hotel there would be bath robes and slippers provided.
Room service is currently in single serve plastic with plastic cutlery - I would suggest eating out instead of room service.
Pool is quite small but nice! Fitness center was great!
Valet parking was extremely convenient.

Stayed one night with my daughter, we were absolutely pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and beauty of the rooms, the heated toilet seat and bidet experience and the fact that the hotel cares about the environment; the room even had a compost bin and the shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion were in refillable pump bottles - not in single use wrappers. Loved the roof-top pool and hot tub under the stars. Definitely our favourite hotel from now on.

I fled to the hotel with my pet in tow during the heatwave as my apartment was sweltering. I had such a pleasant stay here, with the nicest staff that I have ever experienced in a hotel. I have stayed at MANY hotels in my lifetime including a local one not far from this one, I would take this place hands down over any other hotel. The pool was small, but the fitness area was great and spotless. I would order breakfast from room service and they would always remember my almond milk even on the days I forgot to ask. The hotel was completely sold out when I stayed there because of the heatwave. The staff worked tirelessly and you would not have known they were understaffed (first packed weekend since pandemic and they were not expecting this rush) as they work so hard at what they do. The staff here never skipped a beat, best customer service ever. LOVE this place and so glad I found it. My friend who also stayed on the same floor said we should book it every year now to celebrate not dying in the heatwave.

I chose this hotel specifically because I brought my bikes with me to cycle around Vancouver. The hotel staff were more than accommodating with storing my bikes and having them ready to go whenever I needed access to them. I slept very well knowing that my expensive bikes were securely stored away when I was not using them. The hotel and room were very clean and sanitized. Hotel staff were very good about restocking items such as coffee and tea when needed. I would recommend this hotel and will be staying here again in the future.

Is the pool and hot tub year round? Are there discounts at the spa for hotel guests?

As far as I’m aware the pool is year round, as for discounts on spa’s, I only saw a price list in hotel room there wasn’t any mention of a discount. But it maybe worth an ask. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

Hi Roy, The drive from our hotel to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal takes about 1 hour in regular traffic. If you are travelling during rush hour time, it could take 1.5 hours. Thanks.

We liked Urban Fare on Alberni St. It's a market and has breakfast items and sandwiches. Great selections of items that we took back to our hotel room. I heard that Thierry also had great coffee and pastries.
