The Fairmont Pacific Rim is lauded for its lively atmosphere, complete with live music and elegant decor that many guests find inviting. The hotel's rooms, known for their cleanliness and modern features, also offer stunning views, though some guests have mentioned noise concerns. Staff at the hotel are widely commended for their attention to detail and professionalism, adding to the high marks for service despite occasional lapses.
Its prime location is another high point, with easy access to local attractions and dining. While the hotel's amenities, including the heated pool and spa, are frequently praised, opinions on the value for the price do vary among travelers.

Hotel's Favourite
Pros-The pillows are the fluffiest I have ever felt and their bed was heavenly. Room was large and clean with a flat electric TV in the mirror in the bathroom! Friendly and welcoming staff! Love the Fairmonts for their excellent customer service where you are made to feel special. It was my birthday so the sent up a slice of decadent chocolate cake! Outdoor pool is heated! Great location by the water and the lobby is beautiful! Used the Willow Spa which is both indoors and outdoors with their hot tubs. You can sit outside around a fire pit with blankets with great views of Canada Place. Healthy snacks and had delicious and healthy dinner salad at the spa. They limit the number of guests at the spa so it's not crowded. Discounted rate to use the spa facilities if you are a hotel guest. Too bad I was only there for one night! Would highly recommend.
Cons- I am an Accor member but was not offered a welcome drink and there was a line up at check in with only one staff member in the morning for checkout!

Wow, what a hotel. In terms of the quality of the room, the spa and the location it really is second to none. The staff were excellent and the lobby bars and restaurants were lovely.
We enjoyed a couple of nights here and made use of most of the offered facilities, all of which exceeded our expectations. I have two negatives which are the only reasons why this wasn't a perfect 5* review:
- Firstly, due to my credit card not being accepted, the hotel required the entire value of my stay be taken from my debit card as security (approx 1500 CAD) It was to be credited on check out, however due to the fact I had paid for the room up front I thought this was slightly excessive and meant I had to watch what I spent for the two nights I was there.
- Secondly (and this one is completely beyond me) there is no free WiFi! Of all of the services offered in this day and age, for a metropolitan hotel, how can you not offer free WiFi? And it's not cheap either! It may seem trivial to some people but for the money you pay to stay here, I think it's a bizarre caveat.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
I have stayed at a few Fairmont hotels in the past and I have to say, while this hotel was beautiful, the attention to detail was not as grand as at other properties I have stayed at such as Kea Lani and Whistler.
We had multiple issues throughout our stay, all of which were rectified, however should never have occurred at a 5* hotel.
To start, we had electronic issues in our first room that were unable to be fixed and that were very obviously broken and should have been identified by housekeeping prior to us checking in. We were asked to vacate our room for about an hour by maintenance for the fixes originally but it was later determined that the fixes couldn’t be performed. We were offered a different room of the same category or the opportunity to upgrade for 180$ however the upgraded room wasn’t available until after 5pm as other guests had a late checkout. After some contemplation we decided to upgrade and asked if we too could have a late checkout as check in was delayed. They denied this request as they needed to keep it open in case someone else wanted to book the room in the morning - this made us feel like we weren’t valued as existing guests. We asked if anything could be done to adjust the upgrade price because we would have the room for less than 18 hours and they gave us a $20 reduction.
We spent the rest of the day at the Willowstream spa as we had massages booked and this too was a bit disappointing. The facilities were lacking and they did not have a very plentiful selection of toiletries as at other Willow Streams I have visited. The ladies area only had 1 working shower out of 2 and 1 “experience” shower as well as a steam room. Outside we’re a couple hot tubs and a infrared sauna only big enough for 2 people. For the $600 we spend in massages I feel like the spa should have been nicer.
We ended up going for dinner and then returned to our upgraded room. The upgraded room was very beautiful and we spent the rest of the evening ordering late night room service. Unfortunately, when we woke up the next morning the in room nespresso coffee machine was not working. I picked up the phone beside the bed to have it replaced and the phone was also not working - again, issues that shouldn’t be occurring in a hotel of this caliber.
While our staycation had some bumps, the hotel lobby and restaurants are beautiful with wonderful ambiance and service. We ate at Giovane, the lobby lounge/raw bar, and drank at botanist and all were outstanding and should not be missed.

We stayed at the Pacific Rim in Vancouver with the "stay close" offer for our 8yr anniversary. We were so so excited about our stay, and we were so thoroughly disappointed on leaving. We enjoyed our stay, overall the cleaning staff and bar staff were friendly, there were some questionable bumps, but we put that down to Covid. However, when we come to pay, the bill was 3x the amount the website stated (379.50 per night then buy one night get one free). But instead just the room came to $900+. So in actual fact the offer is 779.00 per night and one free. This was already such a massive treat for us, with covid and putting money aside to do something nice, and now we are screwed for our rent/food/bills.
For 1k you'd at least expect WiFi to be included. Not only was this a huge shock, as the site had said the room was 379.50. We then had to listen to the manager treat us so horribly, the way she spoke to us lead me to have a panic attack. I have never ever been treated with such a condescending tone anywhere by anyone. I feel so disgusted and angry that someone could feel it is okay to make you feel bad after already being visibly upset.
Through the website the total costings were not clear at all and the word "deposit" is not clearly defined as something that would not be returned. Through my entire life of renting cars, staying places, living in places, a deposit is something you get back if you haven't broken anything, to find out this is actually part of the cost was another blow.
I am so scared of what the next month's are going to bring, as we don't have the means to cover this. On top of this, the little oversights we were willing to forego, have been magnified, the room service was really hard to get hold of, so we got our own food at points, there was no free wifi, to rent a movie is was $25!! That's more than a cinema ticket. There were unclean tables in the bar. Almost all the facilities were closed but this wasn't even that clear on booking. On arrival we were told people from America were travelling through and staying too, which is putting your staff and clients at risk. We had put these quirks aside, but how we were treated on exit magnified them 10 fold.
The price on the website is false advertising, and the offer should be reworded or repriced. I will happily never stay at a Fairmont hotel ever again, and I will make sure anyone I know does the same. And not even due to the shock of the price nor the lack of facilities, but due to the manager and how she could think she could talk to anyone like that. It is beyond my comprehension. No one deserves that ever, let alone during these times.

Called in and secured the Signature Ofuro Room w/ King for Christmas Eve with Self parking. Driving in and check in was easy as always, they welcomed us back and had a Christmas Loaf ready in the room. Hazel who assisted with check in even texted on my personal for additional requests. The room is always dog friendly with a dog bed and treats. Room is always spotless and we were able to enjoy the jacuzzi in private with a lovely sea view. Willow stream Spa was booked and massage was great after a long day. Our first time trying the in room dining service and price was reasonable with fresh food with great quality, warmed in a mini oven underneath the tray. Small detail counts! They even sent me email for a "Fast check out" email in case i did not have time to check out in person. We had lunch at the Botanist on Christmas and the experience was great as well. Please keep up the usual high standard guys! Pac Rim has become my go-to getaway now amid Covid-19. Stay well.

Took a four day trip to Whistler and Vancouver and stayed in a suite overlooking the pool sadly with no ocean view. I am in a wheel chair and they provided a huge room with kitchenette and special needs accommodations. The room was ultra modern with dark wood, automatic curtains and lights, temperature control. Huge deep spa tub and massive showers with wands/rain showerheads with marble everywhere. There is even a TV built into the mirror! Lobby and bar are spectacular and hugely popular with the smart crowd. Very modern and cocktails/food/waitresses are Asian and superb. Live musician was phenomenal. From check in on we were impressed with how helpful and polite the staff were really above and beyond. With my wheel chair we needed the valets who were super kind, polite and helpful. The African gentleman, Eric who helped me out of a deep chair, the amazing porter who got my walker from my room. The guys in hats are a well oiled machine. House keeping was the best I have ever encountered. Security is tight you need a card to go to the 8th floor and above. Rooms are dead silent you can chainsaw someone and noone will hear it. Beautiful huge covered patio with wood everywhere. You will see bald eagles standing on the grass roof by the pool in the morning. Automatic room door, elevator access door, and washroom doors needed. In room dining is not recommended everything was stone cold even the hot chocolate which for $86 for bacon and eggs was the only hiccup.

+1
The Fairmont Pacific Rim was a perfect location for my stay.
An easy walk if arriving by Skytrain; and the right amount of time to stretch one’s flight legs with a walk or bicycle ride to Stanley Park especially along the well laid out and populated pathways.
The Hotel arrival team was warm, welcoming and efficient; I was in my room within a few minutes of arriving.
My room (I had a Signature Harbour View on 19th floor; 1902 ) had a nice view of Stanley Park and the Harbour. It had a peaceful, soothing decor that complimented and reflected the natural surroundings.
The bed was extremely comfortable; the bathroom shower was delightful and the bathtub looked like it would provide a soothing soak.
I ordered In-Room Dining as I wanted to catch a bit of the Tokyo Summer Olympics and the food was fresh, tasty, with good presentation and most importantly HOT, which I always appreciate. It arrived when promised.
The hotel has a laid-back vibe with great art installations (Moneyboy & Moneygirl) by Douglas Coupland and a Taschen bookstore (for that alone two thumbs up).
The rooftop pool/cabana area was lively as guests were lounging, enjoying the music and beverages and seemingly enjoying their best lives. There was a cute courtyard gathering spot with a food truck and live music just off the main entrance which offered a nice spot to sit and relax for a bit.
I saw a diverse mix of travellers from all demographics enjoying the property and it's amenities who seemingly all had one thing in common; to enjoy the Fairmont experience which is always on point.

Top notch all the way. From room service, concierge, and room service everything was superb. The complimentary car service was wonderful. Room service was excellent to the smallest detail of winding up our phone charger cords. All the staff were so friendly and always stop to chat and ask how your stay was going. Not cheap, but worth every penny. My finest hotel experience ever!

We stayed at the fairmont pacific rim for three nights in August 2020. Everything was going smooth until the last minute of our stay.
When we booked the reservation on fairmont’s website we were having trouble booking three nights, it kept having an error. So we did two nights with the Canadian resident deal (free parking and a room upgrade) and then I booked the next level up room on Expedia for the third night.
Two days into our stay we went to the front desk to let them know we essentially had two separate reservations. We chatted with Nicole, she was very nice and she told us that she would take care of the room key, keep us in the same room and we were good to go. Unfortunately the next moour room key didn’t work, our complimentary wifi stopped working because our member number wasn’t transferred over. We saw Nicole again and she fixed the room key issues and said everything was transferred over and we were good to go.
Nothing was mentioned about my car or anything like that. They took my license plate the first day to register it for parking.
The last day as we were leaving we saw a parking ticket for $55 saying “car not registered through hotel”. So I went up to the front desk and talked to Hannah. Hannah was extremely rude about it and just said there is nothing we can do, I explained to her that the fairmont explained to me that everything was transferred over from the first reservation. She acknowledged that I had free parking but said there was nothing they could do and really didn’t seem to care at all. Not let me see what I can do, not let me chat with a manager because you are clearly visibly upset just “no there is nothing we can do”.
The take away I got from this is even with everything going on and with almost all hotels at their lowest occupancy rate worldwide since the Great Depression, the fairmont pacific rim just doesn’t care.
On this trip we stayed at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, the Fairmont Whistler, the Fairmont Lake Louise, the Fairmont Victoria and the Pan Pacific. Every single hotel showed how much they cared and how much they wanted future business. If there was ever an issue, a manager dealt with it and made sure the stay was amazing. At the fairmont pacific rim it was the exact opposite. Twice the price of all other hotels but half the customer service.
When looking for a hotel in Vancouver, I would say look elsewhere. There are so many hotels that will do anything to have your business and make your stay absolutely amazing. I wish the fairmont pacific rim cared a little more.

+1
Being from Toronto & staying at the Fairmont Royal York I guess I’m used to that type of Fairmont experience which has a more classic, antique vibes. But wow was Pacific Rim an amazing modern take on Fairmont’s known luxury!
We arrived in the afternoon, at check in we were told a room with a tub was not available. We did not make a fuss about this even though we were staying 4 nights & perhaps they could’ve offered to switch us if one became available.
Wifi only comes if you are a Fairmont member which we were.
We spent the first day exploring close by, going to the Olympic cauldron & Canada Place which is all very accessible. In the evening, we turned in around 11 as we had a long flight & day. Around 1 am we were woken abruptly by some laughing, yelling & running in the hallway. This went on for over 10 mins prompting me to call the front desk to ask for someone to check on the situation. Not what we expected at a 5 star hotel but after all this, we were finally able to fall back asleep.
The next day while enjoying Stanley Park which we also walked to from the hotel, we received a call from the hotel. A manager was following up to apologize for the disturbance last night! She also offered a bottle of wine & some chocolates to make up for it! This was greatly appreciated, especially since we did not ask for anything. This is true luxury service to us.
House car was usually available, concierge was very helpful & informative. Monica was able to provide us with maps & coupons for our outings.
Overall we stayed at the Empress Fairmont in Victoria as well on this trip & this was definitely the ‘creme du la creme’ of all the Fairmonts in BC. After this successful stay, we’ll be back in two weeks for a conference! Can’t wait!

fairmont is no longer available. everything is now CLUB ACCOR
you have to get the Accor app and merge the two accounts together.
there are no longer upgrade certificates there are points that equal euros that can be used to reduce the cost or pay for a night or a trip
I think the Accor app has taken over from the old webpage and generally has their special deals on it
Yes and if you book a gold room, you have access to the lounge.
N0t a problem
