I arrived after a very long flight feeling very tired. The hotel has a very calm and helpful atmosphere, from the help with bags, pleasant reception and well presented room. Slightly strange there is no exclusive dining room, having a cocktail bar that provides snacks, but there are plenty of eateries in the area. There is a good breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel one night with my two sisters, mother and our 5 kids total. We got rooms across from each other and it was great. Rooms were clean and beautiful. Some things were dated and Windows were dirty on the outside but we were happy! One main hint that really got to us though was the terrible...

Great older Vancouver hotel. Safe underground parking ($40/ day). Stayed for Christmas Eve. Lobby reception area beautifully decorated with flowers & trees for the holidays. Like the multiple elevators as this is a tall building. Had a great view in our first room but unfortunately the AC wasn't working properly (& noisy) so we had to switch rooms which was...

Stayed here for the first time in February 2014 for a weekend to see the ballet. My sister's boss always stays here and so we thought we'd try it out. We got a really good deal on Hotwire. Nice clean room with comfy beds. We had the standard room, but the comforter was a satiny fabric and kept sliding off...

We were last Christmas in Vanvouver and for 4 days, we stayed in the Saton H. The rooms were a little bit "old fashion" but great size room, beds and bathroom with all the amenities. The location was great and the service standard, BUT THE BEST THING was its bar. We loved the place, atmosphere and the drinks offered. No...

We stayed in the Sutton Place hotel from 2nd January 2017 to the 6th January 2017. It is in a fantastic location just a step out to the main shops and only a 5 minute walk to the Mall. The rooms were spotless and the bed has to be the most comfiest bed I have ever slept in and I...

Excellent location. I have stayed here on business multiple times. Rooms have been comfortable but slightly dated. 4 stars mainly because the value per night was excellent. Especially with great corporate rates. If I had been paying full price, I'm not sure if I would rate so high. Service has always been prompt. Food in the restaurant is average at...

I was recommended this Hotel by my coworker as she always stays here when in Vancouver (we travel a lot). The Hotel was decorated with several trees in the Foyer which were one more beautiful than the other and really made you feel like getting in the Christmas Spirit. I stayed there for 2 nights and it was wonderful. The...

Stayed here for 3 nights to finish off our tour around Canada. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous! Great location, lovely staff and the rooms are very beautiful. The only bug-bearer I had was that WiFi was not included and it was pretty pricey too! We stayed in some accommodation throughout the Rockies that could only be described as shacks up...

I stayed at the Sutton this week. Don't get me wrong this is a really nice hotel. All the staff I interacted with were top notch and if I had to pick my favourite part of the hotel it was the very comfortable bed. However at a high end hotel my expectations are higher and the Sutton missed the mark...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
