I booked a room last minute and didn't really know what to expect but was very happy with the hotel and the service we received. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed, we arrived in the afternoon and left very early in the morning so didn't spend much time in the room itself other than to sleep...

Stayed there for 5 nights late March and really enjoyed the place. The newly refurbished room (or better suite) was very nice. Tastefully furnished and super comfy bed. I really enjoyed the built in open kitchenette with the Miele appliances. Perfect place to stay a few days. Convenient is the fact, that there is a nice market food store just...

Great location, near lots of shop and cruise-ship area. Walking distance to nearby market for the essentials. Hotel service was great, room were a little small but can't ask for too much in the central area. Hotel breakfast was good with variety of pastry, though they end the breakfast a little early in my opinion. Dinner was ok, nothing to...

The people who work here are without exception absolute solid gold. The location of the hotel is perfect. The pool and fitness area are a bit difficult to locate at first and a few parts of our room were showing their age but it was still a great weekend getaway. I would be happy to stay here again.

From the moment I walked through the doors I was greeted with warm, welcoming, friendly smiles! The Front Desk Team whisked me through both check-in and check-out assisting in any way they could. The Fabulous Concierge Team gave a wonderful warm and friendly welcome! They had a fantastic restaurant arranged for dinner and now it was my turn to head...

The Sutton Place (I had a so-called premium room), is just OK. I would give it 3 stars if they didn't make you pay for every little thing. Beds are mediocre, room layout mediocre and has few plug-ins for computers or iphone like some hotels (Le Soleil is good). Room was ver dated-poor water pressure, obvious repairs all over. The...

The Sutton Place establishments is great spot to stay and they are right in town. There is a great corner market right out side the hotel. Directly across the street are 3 wonderful restaurants, a Starbucks and a movie theater. I would recommend Don Francesco's. The hotel could use a little remodeling but overall it's a very nice place to...

When travelling with our dogs - we usually would not book a hotel downtown in one of the busiest areas - Robson and Burrard. However we were having a family trip - and the other half of our family was staying on Robson as well - so we wanted to be close to each other. We have stayed at the...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
