The Listel Hotel Vancouver garners appreciation for its prime downtown location and its commitment to art and the environment, featuring on-tap sparkling water, complimentary e-bikes, and refillable water bottles. Guests commend the friendly staff and the hotel's clean, artistic rooms, although some feel the room rates and extra costs do not provide sufficient value.
While the unique atmosphere and green initiatives are celebrated, a few travelers point out the need for updates to decor and more thorough carpet cleaning.

It had been several years since my last stay at the Listel. It's a great location, within walking distance of the West End, Downtown, Waterfront, Coal Harbour and countless food/coffee establishments of every cuisine and price range. This is a perfect place to stay if you enjoy the Robson Street vibe. The hotel also prides itself on it's "recycling green" efforts.
Our room was clean and the Listel offers daily housekeeping which is a rarity in the post COVID environment. On every floor, you have ice, and filtered and sparkling water spigots. The rooms have glass carafes for your water needs. We were impressed with the quality of the coffee provided for the in-room drip coffee maker.
Every floor and room is decorated with original art work of different disciplines.
The fitness center provides the basics for a workout. Some might describe the rooms as tired.
The staff was eager to assist, friendly and very chill. We had a minor misunderstanding (on our part) that Manager Adam quickly resolved to our enlightenment.
We will certainly return to the Listel and recommend without hesitation!

The Listel Hotel proved to be a gem. We spend five days in Vancouver at the start of the autumn in 2023, and the hotel was the right choice. Since our arrival, the staff were readily available and welcoming. Our check-in was swift and efficiently handled by Joe. Our room, located on the top floor, was quiet although it faced Robson Street. This is a great location for a visit to Vancouver, Robson Street was delightfully busy with pedestrians and locals enjoying the lovely weather. Many of the food offerings on the street were tempting and intriguing. Amazed by the lines at the ramen soup place across the street! We were delighted by the compact appointment of the room, which was extremely functional and cozy. The touches of indigenous art on the walls reminded us of why the First Nations selected this area to live. With a partial view of the harbor and North Vancouver, the morning light was always a welcome way to start the day. The housekeeping staff was generous in providing us with coffee and tea to make in our room to slowly rouse up. The commitment to green and earth-responsible approaches was quite welcome. The bonus was the strategically placed still and sparkling water option on our floor. My partner prefers to drink sparkling water over still water, and we did not have to search for a convenience store to get his supply. Great selection of local wines at their lobby each afternoon. We missed dining at Forage due to our overscheduled and recommended dining options, but we were intrigued by the menu.

We used The Listel as our hub before visiting Vancouver Island and taking the Alaska Cruise. It was perfect for our city break - on Robson Street, in the middle of Downtown so easy to get everywhere whether walking to Stanley Park, Coal Harbour, catching the Water Taxi to Granville Island or the Train to the Outlet Centre. Also a short cab ride from the Seaplane or Cruise terminal yet only 30 mins from the Airport.
It’s a lovely Boutique Hotel - tastefully decorated, spacious, clean rooms and everything you need for a City Break, including storing a bag for us whilst we left for the other sections of our holiday and offering us showering facilities before our nighttime flight back to London. All the staff were friendly, helpful and happy to go the extra mile regardless of their role.

Having read reviews and booking ‘modern art floor’, we were somewhat disappointed - Yes, there are a couple of ‘pieces’ in the corridor, but sadly I would have walked passed had I not been looking. Room was large with view over the hotel’s glassed restaurant - ongoing noise of ventilation was really draining - ear plugs essential to sleep!
Bed was comfortable, facilities in room ‘worked’ , toilet area took a little manoeuvring to get into as door straight onto toilet was very awkward and carpets in desperate need of a clean (take slippers, not the freshest aroma). Decor not good and paper peeling off wall. Reception staff performed their roles in a friendly enough manner but not with a ‘welcome to Vancouver’ warmness …
Sadly this just felt like a functional, city break hotel - not a comforting holiday experience. Would I return? no

The Listel Hotel has many things going for it: clean, quiet, staff are very friendly and welcoming, convenient location (short walk from the Hullo ferry and the False Creek ferries), lots of amenities nearby (shopping, restaurants). What sets it apart though is the unique and wonderful art in each room and hallway as well as all of their green initiatives! They have glass bottles in each room that you can fill with still or sparkling water from taps available on each floor, large refillable dispensers for all soap/shampoo/etc., real glassware in the room instead of plastic, etc. Highly recommended!

Great location in Vancouver but ready for a refurb. Hotel is being demolished this Autumn so the rooms were overpriced as the furniture was chipped and tired. Same for the bathroom. But, the bed and pillows were super comfy and the towels were all spotless and fluffy. The wine tasting hour was a fantastic touch. Met some lovely people and had some fantastic local wine. Our room was at the back so it was quiet and we got a fantastic night's sleep. Reception staff were efficient and friendly. The bus to Capillano bridge stops just on the other side of the road and it is less than 10 mins walk to Coal Harbour. There is a handy Safeway store about 5 mins walk away.

We held a two-day symposium at this hotel. The staff were amazingly attentive and helpful. The food was excellent, the portions generous and the rooms were great. I loved the glass water bottles in each room which you could fill with filtered or sparking water. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Old hotel that needs to be renovated if willing to apply current prices. I had booked 4 nights, the entire duration of my stay in Van. I was given room 600 on the 6th floor. The hotel claims to be a museum, but the only connection to the description is the age. The room immediately appeared to be old, no modern air conditioning. It was quite cold, but the first night was still ok. No room rate including breakfast. I was told by email that average price of a plate was 10-15$, but they ranged from 15-25$ and decided to have breakfast out. The second night was a disaster. It was freezing inside. I called the reception and a guy came in at 1am with a small domestic heater. I told him this was ridiculous for a 4* hotel costing 300$/night. He was very embarrassed. I asked him to check the central system, he switched it on and after one hour I was sweating like crazy, forced to switch it off again. I was very upset with the room and the price. The following morning the reception manager called me and, in a rude manner, she asked what the problem was. I explained her exactly what I have just written and her reply literally was “e just written and her reply literally was “If you don’t like it, you can check out”. I paid for two nights 665$ (room only) and left for a much better option 30% cheaper. I was very upset with the easy I was treated. I understand a location can be old but a guest remains a guest, his money and presence are always a honor and, with my avg 50 nights/year for business over the last 30 years, nobody had ever given me such a reply. I wish all the best of luck to The Listel Hotel but recommend readers to find a better option when visiting the beautiful city of Vancouver.

I spent a week at The Listel Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it! My room was spacious, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, filtered and sparkling water stations were available (free), and there were free wine tastings every evening. I especially loved the lounging sofa/window seat which was perfect for reading and watching the scenes on the street below. The staff was extremely helpful with recommendations about what to do in the city and with calling cabs for me. The housekeeping staff was also very kind and thorough. There are many restaurants and shops nearby and the hotel is within walking distance of the waterfront. There is a small refrigerator in the room, but I did not realize that I could have asked for a microwave oven in my room until the last day of my stay. There is a Whole Foods grocery store down the street and I would have kept more meals in my room if I had had the microwave available. Overall, my experience was excellent and I would definitely stay there again!

This hotel is on Vancouver's main street, Robson Street and .is convenient to every thing. My package was for a continental breakfast which was enough to see me through till lunch There are many inexpensive cafes serving lunch and dinner in Robson Street. My room was large and very comfortable with a generous supply of coffee, teas etc. Staff were pleasant and very keen to be of assistance

note - the ventilation control is on the wall. it is a knob type (like on off or auto)... if you dont like the noise, turn it off... the ventilation can be very loud (like most hotels i guess)

Hi we looked into this and cabs are a flat rate. If you check the Vancouver airport website there is a map of Taxi prices. We therefore paid I think $35 with 3 bags, which was much cheaper than shuttle rate. The website is very informative
