There are many people sitting there in the evening enjoying the...

Have stayed at this Coast on Comox and Denman several times. It is always clean. The rooms are large and cozy. This time we had a king room with a view of English Bay, and just about all of Vancouver!

Rooms are a bit dated but very large and comfortable. Great location in West end, very interesting food scene around. Close to english bay as well and not far from granville either. Try to get a higher floor for great views.

If you are looking for over 3 stars and can afford it, pick elsewhere. Room clean yet dated. Nothing extraordinary but fabulous location and pool is a bonus. Complimentary upgrade was very nice to get and appreciated. Grocery store within Denman mall which is attached to hotel. 2 blocks from beach.

Greatly appreciated the hotel. Restaurant food so-so; excellent location by English Bay. Wonderful views of the city, mountains and water if at a higher level. Get room with balcony. Restaurants and many stores and cafes within walking distance.

The hotel has a convenient location to restaurants and other attractions. The staff is very helpful. The suites are solid options especially for families and there's a quality restaurant in the lobby. Our family also enjoyed the indoor pool.

The Coast Plaza Hotel providers really clean rooms. With a full kitchen and decor that remind me of a 1970's apartment. I don't mean this in a bad way. It is very quaint and the view from the 21'st floor is nothing short of spectacular. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
