The St Regis is located on the edge of the main shopping area of Vancouver and extremely close the Vancouver City Centre station which is ideal for taking the trip to or from the airport. The lobby is small but perfectly formed and the staff, as mentioned in lots of reviews, are incredibly helpful and as the last night of...

The hotel room was clean and a good size. The staff was very helpful. We were able to walk everywhere from here, including the Vancouver skytrain station which took us directly to the airport. So convenient. One thing if you head east on Dunsmuir you can get into some iffy areas, I think it was east. But west and towards...

Booked the St. Regis for a few days get-away. It is in a good downtown location allowing one to walk to the waterfront, Pacific Centre, and many good little restaurants. Totally European in feel -- one walks into a small, utilitarian lobby; breakfast is included; and there is only one small lift (the lift was never really an inconvenience, though)....

Here for one night before embarking on a cruise. Very, very helpful staff. Airline lost my luggage, and hotel staff stayed on it until suitcase was recovered. Hotel connected to two bar/restaurants, and Starbucks is next door. We are within walking distance of the piers if we feel like trundling our luggage. Room is a little small, but not uncomfortably...

The staff here could truly not be more friendly and accommodating. They were friendly, helpful and a pleasure to interact with. We chose the hotel in part b/c the full breakfast was included. Sadly, that didn't live up to its billing. However, the onsite steakhouse was terrific. We ate at the lounge/bar - and glad we did once we saw...

The St. Regis Hotel is charming, and has that European feel without the tiny rooms. It is located kind of on the fringe of the best areas of downtown Vancouver, but still in great walking distance to all the shopping and attractions, cruise terminal, etc. The hotel staff is particularly accomodating. The parking is kind of strange--you park your own...

After a lot of looking for a decently priced hotel close to the cruise ship port I finally decided on the excellently located St. Regis. Getting here from the airport is quick and painless on the rail, with only a block and a half walk from the station. There is a ton of shopping and food options in the area...

My wife and I, along with our 14-month old child, recently stayed at the St. Regis before and after a cruise experience, based on reviews from fellow TripAdvisor patrons. The hotel is a nice boutique-style one, and our suite was absolutely perfect for our family (we chose to pay a bit more to upgrade and we're really happy we did...

We stayed two nights at the St. Regis before catching a Disney Alaskan cruise. We chose the hotel because it was not too far from the cruise terminal, thinking we could walk. However, we chose to take taxis to the terminal since we had so much luggage. The hotel was simply fantastic. It's an easy walk to the waterfront and...

We were in Vancouver for a conference and stayed for 6 nights. This a boutique hotel in the heart of Vancouver. We had a beautiful corner room on the 2nd floor with window facing the fron street and the side street. 11 minute walk to the Convention Center and the Port (Canada Place). The hotel service was excellent, from the...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
