Small, European-like hotel, old building with really nice modernization. Extraordinarily friendly & efficient staff (from parking to bell people to front desk & restaurant). No surprises - room & amenities as advertised. Good hearty "breakfast included". Convenient to all downtown venues - art museum, theatre, restaurants. Parking available but cheap cab ride to most places. Very nice room & bed...

First stop when planning our visit for one night to Vancouver, tripadvisor! I'm glad I checked because that's where I found the St. Regis. What a great place. Easy to find, in a perfect spot. The room we had was spotless and well appointed. Great breakfast and amenities. The room was small, but we were only there for one night...

I traveled to Vancouver recently and stayed at the St. Regis Hotel with a friend for four nights. We had a fantastic experience. The hotel staff was helpful, friendly, and anticipated our every need. Both of us have traveled extensively with our families, and the staff here is the finest either of us have ever experienced. Ryan, the concierge, went...

Dear Ascportland, Thank you so much for your review. We love reading that you were able to take advantage of some of our favourite amenities – the full complimentary breakfast and the infamous Gotham Steakhouse. Sometimes unfortunate events, such as your car trouble, bring out the best (or worst!) in a property and we’re very pleased that you experienced the...

Good things: lovely clean hotel with good amenities, great location and great service. Breakfast, phone calls, fast wifi, water all included which is great. Boutique feel, not just any hotel Things which stop this hotel being five star for us; 1. the room was quite small and there was nowhere to put one suitcase let alone two. I understand this...

We stayed 2 nights at the St Regis and were impressed with the whole experience. Location speaks for itself: right in the center and a 5min walk from gastown. Perfect. The hotel has definetely a "boutique" feeling. The rooms are very nice, spotlessly clean (very important for me), and the amineties are great. Very good price/quality! But what stand out...

We recently stayed for two nights to attend the lululemon SeaWheeze half marathon run. Great downtown location; Starbucks, wine store right next door and of course being downtown, had easy walking accessibility to all the restaurants. Rooms are beautiful with complete attention to detail. Quality fixtures, sophisticated lighting and comforting ambiance makes for a pleasant atmosphere and deep sleep. The...

I stayed here whilst I was organising a conference across the road at BCIT. It was a perfect location and a great place to stay. The room was excellent and very comfortable, the service wonderful and everyone so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and believe it or not all international telephone calls were FREE! A great...

I was happy to find the St. Regis Hotel on tripadvisor, and booked an Executive King room for 4 nights prior to our first visit to Vancouver. We received the AAA rate and saved quite a bit because we are members. The service was indeed all it's cracked up to be, and we were very pleased with the friendly and...

A clean comfortable hotel to be sure. Service is poor though, communication is worse. Mischarges are rampant. You ought to only stay here if you are patient or able bodied - the elevator took up to 10 minutes during peak hours. Certainly not for business travelers. Very popular with senior citizens...

Spent 3 nights there at the end of july. If you have only a couple of days to visit Vancouver, the location of the St. Regis is simply perfect as all the main attractions/places to see are within walking distance. The big+ is that you have a Shoppers Drug Mart accross the street and Pacific Centre is 2 mns away,...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
