From the time of arrival to the time we checked out we were treated royally. Georgia ensured that we had whatever we required to make our stay special and she was available if required but unobtrusive which is our preference when travelling. We stayed in the garden suite which we enjoyed as it was private - we could cook our own meals and come and go as we pleased. The convenience of the express buss No 99 along 10th Ave was terrific - took us to the Skytrain and from there we could travel anywhere in the lower mainland. Compass Pass for Seniors is excellent - only $2.10 per trip excluding rush hour - - there are 3 zones which cost for each - but certainly the ONLY way to travel in Vancouver - traffic is never ending. Its very close to the beaches and the sunsets on the beach are amazing. …

Georgia is a wonderful host and gave us some excellent spots to explore. Her guest house is extremely clean and homey. Our bed was huge and super comfortable and the room was just delightful. Georgia is a wonderful person and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her in passing on our way in and out of the house. You can tell instantly that a lot of love went into this home and it is decorated beautifully. We hope to see Georgia again on our travels as she made our trip to Vancouver. Thanks again Georgia, we shall think of you when we walk the locks back in England xxx

I was not able to sleep well because the room did not have an air conditioner, so it was very hot at night in the summer time. I asked an old land lady about this matter. She told me, " If you feel hot, you can open the windows at night, but big spiders might come into your room, but the spiders do not hurt you". I was very surprised to hear what she said because I hate spiders. Besides, if I open the windows, the noise of buses and trucks coming and going was loud. Actually, there is a bus stop on the street in front of Point Grey Guest House! The tall trees and bushes around this B&B probably keep spiders and insects alive. In addition to the noise, the corners of the room smelled musty. What is worse, I had a cold. My cold was getting worse day by day. Eventually, I became a pneumonia. I was able to know I was pneumonia, when I read the medical record at the hospital later. Even when I had a cold, the old land lady was very unkind to me. As I visited Vancouver to study English at the University of British Columbia (UBC) for 2 months, I booked to stay for 2 months at Point Grey Guest House because it is close to UBC. However, I cancelled to stay this B&B and changed to stay another hotel downtown in Vancouver, I was patient and stayed at Point Grey Guest House for 2 weeks, though. I should have stayed there only one day. Honestly speaking, this was the worst accommodation that I have ever experienced in my life.…

We had a two day layover in Vancouver and the Point Grey Guest House was perfect! The location made it easy to explore other parts of the city. The hosts were attentive and accommodating and the Cambria room was very clean and so charming. This was a great find and we would definitely book again!

Visiting my daughter in Vancouver I looked for a nearby B&B and was very impressed with Point Grey Guest House. The hosts Georgia and Hugh made me feel very welcome. Due to COVID I could not enjoy their breakfast. My room was spotless clean and they gave me valuable tips of local places to eat. The bed was very comfortable.

I was attending a conference at UBC. There are no hotels nearby and I found a gem in the Point Grey Guest House. The Albion room was spacious and the bed was one of the most comfy ones I’ve slept in. The breakfast was great on my first morning and sadly I had an early start the second morning, but they had a breakfast to go in the fridge for me! There are great restaurants in walking distance so no need to always drive. If ever I have the need to stay in the area again I will definitely book another stay.

A wonderful restaurant for a casual meal or meet for a drink. The open concept creates a happy social atmosphere. Service is prompt and friendly. When we were there for lunch on a Thursday the restaurant was quiet and relaxing. The food is tasty and imaginative. Brunch items are also available. I had the Tuna poke bowl. The fish was fresh and the dressing was very delicious. Free street parking is available if the little lot is full. The whole experience was a good one!

I live in Vancouver and am all too familiar with how expensive accommodations can be. Like most people here, we don't have guest space and are always on the look for great places for our guests to stay. My parents recently visited and we found Point Grey Guest House.. The prices are fantastic. The home is clean, comfortable and welcoming. The hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location is super! You will find everything you need here and at a value you won't find anywhere else in the city.

I am so sorry not to have seen this lovely review of our guest house before. We are very pleased that you have recommended us to your guests and we look forward to hearing from you in the future. This has been a difficult period with COVID19 but we are attempting to welcome guests in a cautious way. Best wishes and keep safe.

I stayed here 6 nights. The couple running the BnB are very good at it, with high attention to cleanliness, great breakfast, engaging without becoming intrusive. This BnB is located near the prettier part of Vancouver, campus and less crowded beaches. It is in a very safe upscale neighbourhood away from most traffic congestion but on a route that is very simple to get to from out of town or downtown. The house is gorgeous inside and out. My room was large, spotless, well attended and private. My privacy was never challenged. Their "signature breakfast" held me through lunch most days. As far as detractors go, they are minor and perhaps personal: incense gives me a headache but seemed to permeate the place. Initial communication with the managers was not spot on but never recurred. It is a bit pricey for a BnB however you are getting a lot for your dollar and it is considerably less than equivalent hotels nearby! Recommended without doubt.…

Dear Tom, Thank you for taking the time and effort to send this review. We, the owners, have been away, so do apologize for the delay in responding. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay for the most part and thanks for mentioning the incense issue which we will attempt to be more attuned to with our guests. We trust that you are comfortable with our rates which we feel do reflect good value for this area. Best wishes, and we hope to see you again.

We stayed 6 nights at PGGH. The other reviews do a good job of describing this home. The day-to-day manager, Hope, was most helpful in helping us navigate the Vancouver area, and guiding us to nearby Point Grey restaurants like Burgoo. We looked forward to relaxed breakfasts with some of the other guests, prepared by Hope. Our room and bath were always clean and well cared for. Buses to the University and downtown Vancouver stop right out front. Thank you Hope for a lovely stay.
