I had a 29th floor room and the views over the city, English Bay and the mountains were utterly spectacular, especially as I was blessed with good weather for the time I was there. The hotel is in a good location, with transport links within easy walking distance if you do not want to walk further. The room was very clean and comfortable and I would more than happily stay here again - the view alone is worth a return trip!
All rooms are stated to have balconies and corner rooms. We stayed on a high floor which gave us a great view over the city. Floors are small with only about 8 rooms each so quiet. Room was well kept and bedding comfortable. Great to have AC since we were staying during one of the summer hear waves. We were able to secure a late check out which allowed us an extra 2 hours so we could spend more time in the city prior to our departure.
Spacious rooms with spectacular views. Friendly service and delicious food at Abode. We are definitely booking a room at blue horizon in the future. Loved the little extras like the nespresso machine, bath robe and water refill station in the lobby.
We stayed here one night and enjoyed our stay. Our room was on the 29th floor with a spectacular view. I thought I reserved a king room but we got a suite with two bathrooms. It could easily have slept five people room 2903. The night we stayed there was a power outage at around 10:00 p.m. that lasted 30 minutes that resulted in speakers going off in our room telling us not to use they elevator and then alarms ringing for five solid minutes. When checking out no one at the front desk acknowledged the inconvenience to guests. We paid $319 U.S. for our room out the door.
My family and I stayed at the Blue Horizon in early September. Hotel is in a great location and is generally nice, but unfortunately the staff working at the hotel are quite incompetent. When we arrived there was hair all over our pillows. We asked for them to be changed and had to follow up because the staff never actioned. The staff also incorrectly advised us on public transport on the long weekend- if we had not of checked ourselves we would have missed our onward flight. The staff also neglected to advise when the wifi password changed. Upon check out, I confirmed nothing further was required. However the staff subsequently had to follow up with me via email. Appreciate everyone may be a little rusty after covid, but the service left a lot to be desired.
The hotel is lovely, very clean, very central to main shopping and downtown Vancouver. The room we had was 22nd floor and the views were great. The room had fridge, coffee & tea making facilities, balcony and air conditioning, we took two double beds for four of us, mum @ dad and two kids 11/13. The seining pool is small but a welcome treat in what were very hot days in July to cool down after being out and about. There is no restaurant but a breakfast only area but the breakfast was lovely on the one day we ate there. Honestly staff and hotel is well recommended and I can’t wait to come back again and stay at the Blue Horizon Hotel all the way from Ireland 😀
The staff and facility were great. We stayed here after an Alaskan cruise. They were able to accommodate an early check in. I had requested 2 rooms near each other and we were give adjacent rooms. (They do not have connecting rooms) The swimming pool is small but we had a great time. We had a great breakfast in the adjoining restaurant. There are a great variety of restaurants around the hotel. Would recommend staying here.
The good - it's clean, central, reasonably well-priced (for Vancouver - have you seen the prices down the street), parking for a reasonable price. The bad - the internet! Slowest ever! We chose here as opposed to hotel a few blocks over because it offered free WiFi which the other didn't. Call my silly, but in 2022, I really think that good internet should be an expectation for any hotel. This internet was free, but useless! After all the frustration we just caved into using data. Speaking of slow - the elevators. They would take so long arriving that they could only pick up a few floors at a time and have to bypass others. After a while, we just started using the stairs. Lots of lost sleep over the VERY noisy A/C in the room. Every time it came on, it woke me up…
Great location. The rooms are spacious and well designed. Lots of windows as Each room is a corner because was hotel is built that way. Amazing. Also Includes a full size couch(hide a bed) with a Comfortable high backed, cool looking lounge chair, two smart round side tables, Plus a desk and chair. King bed was a dream to sleep in. We opted for the lowest category of room so our view wasn’t much but even right across from the elevators, we never heard a sound. Highly recommend!
We stayed at another nearby hotel first 2 nights in Vancouver, then moved to this one at a similar rate. Blue Horizon was so much better. Big rooms, great view, new bathrooms and terrific location for both shopping on Robson, walk to English Bay and the Sea front. Service was good...free water filling station was handy, and right near a great place for breakfast called "Paul".This hotel was expensive for the type of hotel it is, but we found all hotels were when we were booking. Only negative was air con was a little noisy at night, but very efficient.
