The Blue Horizon Hotel garners appreciation for its prime location amidst the bustle of nearby attractions and dining options, with travelers often commending the hotel's cleanliness and the sweeping views from its spacious rooms. However, opinions on value are mixed, with some guests pointing out the steep pricing and extra charges as drawbacks. While the hotel's atmosphere and attentive staff receive accolades, the variable noise levels and service inconsistencies are noted by some visitors. Additionally, the lack of microwaves in rooms is mentioned as a minor inconvenience.

Had to go to Vancouver for an overnight trip. Great value for money. The room was comfortable with great views (or at least of what could be seen through the wildfire smoke). Wonderfully friendly staff. Great location! Definitely will be staying here again.

Fantastic 30 story hotel right on Robson in downtown Vancouver. We had a large clean quiet room, comfortable bed, a desk, and if you don't mind heights, there can be tremendous views from higher stories. Pool and fitness room as well. Tasty breakfast in the Abode restaurant on main floor (not included, but reasonable). Parking not included but also available. Highly recommend!

Even during the times I used to book my stay at the Blue Horizon, up to the time I directly booked with them, they always granted my request of early check in and late check out. My flights normally arrive at midday and return late at night. It is is very convenient to to have a place immediately available, and that I can hold on to a little longer past check-out time. I will keep coming back to the Blue Horizon, even if there will be times they could not grant my request for reasons of high occupancy.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Great location, walking distance to shopping, restaurants. Beds are comfy, rooms are moderate size. You can even borrow an umbrella if needed (which we did). An unexpected surprise was a free bus to the Capilano Suspension Bridge stops right out front!

The hotel is conveniently and centrally located on Robson street, close to bus stops and train stations. From the airport, we took a train to Waterfront then transferred to bus #5 which took us directly in front of the hotel. We arrived super early and they were very accommodating and let us check in early. The room was big and each room has a balcony. We were on the 10th floor and it was nice and quiet even though we had the balcony door open. We lucked out and had great weather so we tried to get fresh air instead of turning on the AC.

The room has a mini fridge, a kettle, a nespresso machine, a desk, a safe, two lounge chairs and lots of closet space. The shower is a walk in shower, and it was hard to control the water temperature at times but it wasn’t bad. There were three elevators and the wait times were fine. The pool area also has a sauna and a hot tub. In the lobby, there is a microwave oven that can be used to heat stuff up (but there are tonnes of amazing restaurants around too!) and a water bottle refill station. There is also a restaurant that is open for breakfast.

Check out was a breeze and the bus was just across the street to take us back to Waterfront to catch the airport train. The hotel is also walking distance from Stanley Park, English Bay, Waterfront so it’s super convenient. We will definitely not hesitate staying here again when we come back to Vancouver!

I booked a room with a view and what I got was an awesome view from the 29th floor.
The view was amazing. The room had been recently renovated so everything was fresh.
The King bed was completely comfortable as I fell asleep many times watching tv
The only draw back to the room was no coffee maker, there was a espresso maker but I like i huge mug of coffee in the morning
I recommend this place

Very clean and well maintained. Seems recently refurbed with a fresh new look. Nice front desk staff.

Hotel in a good location for getting to all the main tourist parts of Vancouver on foot (15 minute stroll to most places like Stanley park, the harbour, the west end or English bay. Places like Granville island need a taxi trip either by Uber or by boat.

Only negative is the background noise that comes from the streets and the elevators if you have a room that is facing the city’s English bay.

When you include taxes, parking is $25- per day, and you are told to remove EVERYTHING from you vehicle, even whatever is in the trunk. Vandalism must be high! The parking is for both the hotel guests and the public. Hotel was clean, recently renovated but still quite dated. Nothing fancy but comfortable enough. Elevators can be slow. Cafeteria mediocre, and only open till 2pm. Not a place that I would stay again, but still ok.

Hello walkaboutsammy, Thank you taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that your stay with us did not live up to your expectations. Pleased to hear that you found our hotel located on Robson Street, with its amazing variety of eateries and shops, to be comfortable and well looked after. We strive to provide great value and our parking is much less expensive than the majority of downtown hotels. As theft from vehicles is an issue throughout Vancouver we do recommend that all items be removed as a key step to preventing break-ins. We are always happy to assist with removing and storing items for safe keeping. ABODE Restaurant features modern comfort food and prides itself on warm, welcoming service. We excited to let you know that we are working on new tasty dinner menu options, which we are looking forward to sharing with everyone come March. Again, thank you for your feedback and we look forward to having you stay with us again in our beautiful city. Please do reach out to me directly at gem@bluehorizonhotel.com when you are returning to Vancouver and I would be happy to be of assistance. Kind regards, Milita Uzunyan Guest Experience Manager

The rooms are as described. We were very pleased to have so much space. We had two queen beds. There was enough room to put a chair and a couch in the room (there was no couch just a chair). The parking is easy and safe. It is not secured parking but I didn't feel it was unsecure. The parking was cheap by downtown standards $20/day and in and out privileges. Great location to any store you want. Any restaurant you want.

Second time staying here. I picked it for the apartment-style features. I stopped at Safeway on the way in from the airport with some groceries and realized it was not as much of a kitchenette as I remember. There is a nespresso machine (meaning you can't make a regular cup of coffee and they don't provide glasses large enough to make an Americano), tea kettle and mini-fridge. Apparently microwave is a frequent request so they set up one in the lobby for guests. The front desk always seemed swarmed, so I suggest getting everything set when you check-in at arrival. The bed in the room was very comfortable, maybe the best I've ever had in a hotel. What I didn't care for was the Nest style thermostat. It would not stay the temperature I set, it would keep resetting itself to a higher temp. I had to keep dialing it back down over and over. It also seems to be on a motion detector so it turns off if you go out or when sleeping so I kept waking up because the room got so hot. I appreciated that it was generally quiet and the parking ramp seemed secure. There is no housekeeping during the stay. I had to keep requesting more towels because it was so humid they would not dry out (back to if the A/C worked properly things would be better....) Lots of restaurants nearby, and lots to do within short walking distance.

Hi Nivia, We do have laundry service offered but with limited pick up and drop off dates. Pick-up will be MONDAYS -> DROP OFFS WEDNESDAY -> PICK UP ON FRIDAYS. We also recommend a company called "WE DO LAUNDRY" they do same day pick-up. The front desk will be able to assist you better upon arrival.
