The Blue Horizon Hotel garners high marks for its spacious and pristine rooms, acclaimed for their comfort and striking views, although some guests suggest the addition of microwaves and attention to maintenance. The staff's professionalism enhances the overall welcoming atmosphere, which resonates with many visitors. Set on bustling Robson Street, the hotel's location is a stone's throw from diverse dining options and iconic Stanley Park, making it a hit with travelers. While opinions on value show a divide, with some concerns about costs, the quietude on higher floors is a noted perk, despite occasional noise complaints on lower levels.

The rooms are as described. We were very pleased to have so much space. We had two queen beds. There was enough room to put a chair and a couch in the room (there was no couch just a chair). The parking is easy and safe. It is not secured parking but I didn't feel it was unsecure. The parking was cheap by downtown standards $20/day and in and out privileges. Great location to any store you want. Any restaurant you want.

Second time staying here. I picked it for the apartment-style features. I stopped at Safeway on the way in from the airport with some groceries and realized it was not as much of a kitchenette as I remember. There is a nespresso machine (meaning you can't make a regular cup of coffee and they don't provide glasses large enough to make an Americano), tea kettle and mini-fridge. Apparently microwave is a frequent request so they set up one in the lobby for guests. The front desk always seemed swarmed, so I suggest getting everything set when you check-in at arrival. The bed in the room was very comfortable, maybe the best I've ever had in a hotel. What I didn't care for was the Nest style thermostat. It would not stay the temperature I set, it would keep resetting itself to a higher temp. I had to keep dialing it back down over and over. It also seems to be on a motion detector so it turns off if you go out or when sleeping so I kept waking up because the room got so hot. I appreciated that it was generally quiet and the parking ramp seemed secure. There is no housekeeping during the stay. I had to keep requesting more towels because it was so humid they would not dry out (back to if the A/C worked properly things would be better....) Lots of restaurants nearby, and lots to do within short walking distance.

I give this five stars for many reasons, the location is second to none of the restaurants in the area are just amazing. The cleanliness was perfection. The staff all very professional. The only thing I would recommend is that a microwave be installed in every room. The other thing is if you’re traveling with a Family, you should not be charged extra for your 17 or 18 year old, we were charged extra $30 a night which was a surprise, but that is their policy and they should reconsider it.

Every couple of years I travel from New Zealand to Toronto, Canada and stop for a night or two in Vancouver, staying at the Blue Horizon. I was there for 1 night in December and 1 night in January - the same room both times.
The front desk staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. I didn't need to do any touristy things, as I was just passing through and have lived in Vancouver before, so I can't really comment on that. I will comment on the room though. I found that facing north is a little quieter and if you're lucky you might get a view of the mountains through the buildings. The room I stayed in was a very generous size, clean, and the bed super comfortable. That's all that really mattered to me. On my return visit, the room had a few tiny details out of place and a bit of an odour (likely from previous guests?) to it, but nothing an open window for half hour couldn't solve, and to be honest, I was just so tired from flight delays and cancellations, I just wanted to lay in that comfy bed! (I'm sure if I would have brought it to the staff's attention, they would have done something about it.) For the price, location and service, this hotel is very good value for money and I would definitely stay there again.

We booked a King Plus room and were really impressed and the size and the facilities provided. The bed was very comfortable (the pillows were amazing!) and every part of the room was spotlessly clean. We made use of the gym, pool and steam room during our stay and were happy with the cleanliness and condition of these.

This is a wonderful hotel in the west end of Vancouver. It is 31 stories high, and each floor only has 8 rooms per floor. The bathroom was remodeled and wonderful with a great shower, although the door didn't open very far and the other side was glued shut so I was glad I wasn't a big person. The front desk staff had excellent customer services skills and the housekeeping and cleanliness of the room was exceptional. The room was big with nice sized windows and a patio door so it was light and cheerful. I had a great view of the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, the main shopping street along with tons of restaurants. Less then a mile from Stanley Park, Canada Place and Sunset Beach. The Hop on Hop Off Bus has a stop at the hotel as does the free shuttle to Capilano Suspension Bridge. Thank you Blue Horizon for the free upgrade to a room with a balcony, I loved being able to step out and see the city and mountain views all around.

This hotel is good for business people and young or old couples to enjoy walking Robson street and the neighborhood. Blue horizon is tall and the view is very good if you get to stay in a top floor. Yes it is expensive. Average room rate begins with $350 per night, plus $21.75 parking, no breakfast included. So for a family with children, this hotel is not much fun. Their swimming pool is okay,, not kid Friendly, it is like a plunge pool, deep in the middle. No other activities are available inside the hotel. There are 3 lifts which is always busy and carries a bunch of people everytime.

Options are endless in Vancouver so I was very overwelmed when choosing a Vancouver based hotel. I chose this one because price and location seemed good but, not being a franchise, I didn't know what to expect. It was a wonderful hotel! Short walk from Stanley Park, lots of food options on Robson Street. The room was clean, the bathrooms were nice and updated, the beds were super comfortable. My daughter loved the pool and we took advantage of that! Everything was within walking distance that we needed so we never moved the car (we did take a cab to granville but that was it). Definietly would stay here again if we return to Vancouver

Hi Nivia, We do have laundry service offered but with limited pick up and drop off dates. Pick-up will be MONDAYS -> DROP OFFS WEDNESDAY -> PICK UP ON FRIDAYS. We also recommend a company called "WE DO LAUNDRY" they do same day pick-up. The front desk will be able to assist you better upon arrival.
