Located three blocks from the airport train, and less than a mile from the Convention Center and Granville Island, it is a couple of blocks from the heart of the shopping district and a couple blocks from an upscale neighborhood. it is the ideal place to stay for those who prefer a small boutique hotel to large international chains or...

This would have been a perfect hotel, right in the center of the city, cheap-ish parking, hip lobby and clean/comfortable rooms. However the lovely bar downstairs turned into a bumping night club at about 8:00pm. I love a good tune and have been known to even rip up the dance floor now and then but sadly not this night. Instead...

Fabulous location and great rate ($143/night) for downtown Vancouver! The hotel is above a liquor store and bar but we were not affected by any consumer noise or traffic. Parking ($14.00/day – cheap!) is the next block on the 5th floor in a secure/gated area. We parked and left the car there as we could walk everywhere. The elevator was...

It might be tidy vthough the pics look better than reality it is old) and in a good location, but never again. Issues with the air conditioning seemed to fall on deaf ears. They said they'd fix it than nothing was done or said.. and this meant some nights it was impossible to get to sleep.. Opened the windows and...

This hotel is a great value for the location. It is 100 years old and has some quirks because of it's age, but is clean, quiet & safe. We have stayed there twice and would not hesitate to stay there again.

A ten minute walk from the train station and conveniently situated near main shopping areas, places to eat and museums. Clean rooms, comfy beds and friendly staff. A good location if you want to be a short walk away from all downtown has to offer. Just be warned, there is only one lift in the building (it's an old building)...

Stayed here over 5 nights on a break to Vancouver in which we now fully understand why it is constantly voted one of the greatest cities to live in the world. This hotel however was just average. The location is pretty good, its downtown and only 2 blocks from the Canada Line Expo Line Skytrain station as well as the...

Possibly the worst elevator i've ever encountered... really slow... twice, I just had to give up waiting and take the stairs instead. I understand the appeal of retaining the heritage architecture and whatnot but it's just ridiculous to keep a near-useless elevator.... Also, their WiFi wasn't working once I arrived, so had to wait for them to reset their router...

Moda Hotel in downtown Vancouver has an excellent location! It's absolutely close to everything, and has great access by public transport (the Canada Line Train) from the airport. The rooms are very decently sized with plenty of space between luggage storage, the closet, a writing desk and the bathroom. The floors are a bit squeaky under the carpet and you...

Really enjoyed this hotel, the location is great if you're hanging out in downtown Vancouver sight seeing for a weekend. I went with a friend and we both really appreciated the stellar location right near loads of fabulous restaurants and entertainment options. The sports bar in the hotel serves up a great thincrust pizza at a reasonable price as well...

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
