Previously when we had stayed in Vancouver we stayed at the Fairmont on Georgia Street, Vancouver which I absolutely adored but this time we stayed at the Hyatt which I must say I actually preferred. All the interiors were much newer and in actual fact in much better condition because of this, plus the rooms themselves were bigger. You sadly don't get the hotel dogs and downstairs glitz of the Fairmont or the catered mini bar, if this is important to you, but I really appreciated the larger room size and also the faster working and more modern system of the Hyatt Hotel elevator system. Located very conveniently next door to the Hyatt is the Burrard Street train station which is awesome if you want to catch the train from Vancouver Airport (about a 30 minute train ride and is a 2 zone adult fare, less than $10). The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the room heating was very efficient. The room we stayed in had a king size bed, armchair and ottoman, desk (which I worked from each morning and was very well sized), free WiFi, TV, small fridge, free coffee and tea facilities, well sized drawers either side of the bed for your clothes, a double closet with an iron and ironing board, room safe, robes, umbrella, racks to place your suitcases on, spare pillow and blanket. Plus a well equipped bathroom with hairdryer. Our room was cleaned well each day and downstairs there is a bar (pricey though compared to some nearby bars), a restaurant and Starbucks cafe. I simply loved this location...a 10 minute walk to Canada Place and the harbor, 20-30 minute walk to Gastown and in another direction about a 30 minute brisk walk all the way down Hornby Street to the little boats that can take you across to Granville markets (loved getting there this way...$6.25 return fare to get you over to Granville markets and back, less than 5 minutes either way on the boat). Also nearby to the Hyatt are many shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, art gallery, bike hire, Robson Street, Vancouver Public Library (amazing 9 stories high with roof top garden), great public transport - ferry, bus and the train. I even had a long and leisurely walk from the hotel to Stanely Park. Our stay at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver was extremely positive, I loved the room and location and the next time we are in Vancouver we will stay here again.

I was at the Hyatt for a conference in February. The hotel is in a great location, close to the float plane terminal and convention centre and steps away from Robson Street, the underground mall and tonnes of restaurants. The meeting spaces on the second floor were easy to find and relatively well laid out although the exit area from the Plaza and Georgia rooms was too narrow for the amount of people rushing to the washrooms at the far end between breaks. On the third floor, the washrooms were hidden in a corner which was awkward. The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable. Having shampoo and body wash dispensers instead of small bottles would be better for the environment. The pool and hot tub area were nice enough but surrounded by concrete so not much ambiance and no view. The staff are friendly and helpful; check-in was quick and easy. There are also nice touches such as flavoured water at reception and extra security with the elevators. Overall, a nice hotel for a decent price in the heart of Vancouver's downtown.

My family stayed at the Hyatt for one night before our trip to Whistler. We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the Epic Rides Whistler shuttle pick-up. After a long travel day from Houston and the frustration of missing luggage when we arrived at the Vancouver airport, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful and welcoming Hyatt. The hotel Christmas decorations and Gingerbread House display brightened our spirits and renewed our excitement for our first Canadian Christmas.
The hotel staff was very accomodating and provided several items we needed due to our missing luggage. Our room was small for our family of four with two adult-sized teenagers, but it was nicely appointed. We also loved the Starbucks located in the hotel - it was nice to grab a quick and inexpensive breakfast on our way out in the morning. I absolutely recommend this hotel for those taking an early morning shuttle to Whistler with Epic Rides.

For the most part, this hotel delivers on location and value but where it falls down miserably is in customer service. With the exception of the cleaning staff who were top notch, service level was very mediocre and the staff very standoffish. The noise level where we were placed was extremely unacceptable and we were not given the option to select a quieter room in the hotel. We stayed for 11 nights and expected much better than what we got!
If you're looking for romance or to decompress be aware! Amenities are close with a Starbucks, Tim Hortons, McDonalds, and a food fair in or by the hotel but the in room dining choices are limited. The Grain bar is a pretty cool place to sit and have a drink. What I can say is if you're looking to feel special in any way, this probably isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a clean room with great location and amenities close by and is family oriented, this is a good choice.

I was at this hotel for an extended stay and hoped for a great room. The first one did not live up to that hope due to a musty odor. I asked the front desk to move me and they suggested that I try a balcony room for the potential fresh air. That made all the difference. I noticed the same smell in the new room, but opening the balcony door for a bit freshened things up nicely. I also bought some room spray at Saje to combat the lingering odor.
A bonus of the room reassignment was spectacular views of the city and Coal Harbor. The bed was comfortable and the workstation was functional with plenty of outlets and USB ports.
I ate breakfast at the Mosaic every morning, and also dined there on three separate evenings. Sometimes I got a great table. Other times it seemed that I was placed in the most unfavorable location possible at a time when there were plenty of window seats available. Sometimes service was stellar. Other times it seemed the server forgot I was there.
The hotel elevators are brilliant, especially for such a busy property. The system of selecting your floor and receiving an assigned car works so well that I never had to wait for more than a minute.
I enjoyed the Starbucks in the lobby. It was convenient and well-staffed. Despite the volume of customers, they turned the drinks around quickly.

Few things I can say about the property:
1) Staff is helpful but I found that at times they were operating under minimal man power which impacted the customer service experience. Sometimes took a while to get essential amenities to my room like water and shower gels/soaps etc.
2) Crowing in elevators and breaking social distance rules. I witnessed 5-6 people jammed into these elevators during busy times; which made my extremely uncomfortable riding in them. It would be advisable to put a doorman to ensure social distancing is enforced. This is actually breaking health authority approved regulations which needs to be consistently enforced.
3) Some staff took off their masks during shift until eye contact was made and put the masks back on. I understand putting a mask for prolonged is uncomfortable, please take off in a private area if needed.
4) No food in any restaurants are available other than Starbucks on the property. I wish there was some food takeout or delivery on the property itself. Many hotel guests want to collect points and Hyatt actually offers bonus points for spending on dining at property level. Sadly, this was not done and other hotel chains like Marriott, Hilton and Accor have offered in room dining as part of their operations. Sadly, on the app this was not clearly communicated unless you go into each section in the app and manually check. Having to live on Starbucks breakfast for 15 days can go so far.
Overall, I will not return to this property for a prolong stay. Only positive was it is near a sky train.

Usually we ask for a room far from the elevators to minimize the noise especially during late night and early morning. We were assigned a room (3116) a few steps from the elevator and surprisingly, we did not hear much of anything.
The room itself was spacious with a king bed. Floor to ceiling windows with sun blocking drapery. The new style open closet provided ample storage. The fridge was small, enough to hold water bottles but lacked shelf space to hold anything else. The bathroom had a heavy mirrored sliding door, single sink with plenty of counter space and roomy shower with glass sliding doors.
We spent an afternoon at the pool off the gym located on the 4th floor. The pool area was in need of an update. At the very least, some greenery.
Starbucks located in the lobby. Mosaic Restaurant was open all day serving a breakfast buffet and a la carte dishes, lunch and dinner seating. There is also a bar and a second eatery but we did not dine there during our stay.
The downtown location was convenient. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Shopping and the waterfront minutes away.
One thing we found really convenient was that the pick up/drop off stop for the free Capilano shuttle was located just outside the back entrance of the hotel.

Called the hotel when I landed in Vancouver, whoever answered the phone had no customer service skills, rushed me on the phone to the point where I couldn't even finish my question. She shut me down completely as she seemed very rushed. I understand how busy times can be, however working in customer service for 15 years and hotel management, that is absolutely no way to treat a guest. Room was not as clean as I would have liked upon check in. Hair in bathroom and visible dust in room. Asked for plates and cutlery one night to eat my dinner I had ordered in, however did not receive it. It is not ideal to eat rice and chicken with your hands. Requested glassware another day as my room was not cleaned, 10 minutes passed, called again and was told with a tremendous amount of attitude that it has only been 10 minutes and to wait some more until someone brings up the glasses. When the glasses did arrive, they were put in a bag and placed on the floor without a knock or anything. Im sorry, who puts glasses on the floor that I am suppose to drink out of? One glass had bright pink lipstick on it. At this point, im upset with the service, and the fact that my room was not cleaned and I want to enjoy my cocktail without talking to another employee as I felt bad complaining. We were in an adjoining room which doesnt bother me, however, the noise from the people next door was so loud. I know hotel walls are thin but this sounded like they were in our room. Baby crying and phone alarms going off at 5am isnt the best thing to wake up to. This was the first vacation my spouse and I had taken since the pandemic and dealing with so many issues at the hotel did not make it enjoyable. Upon check out, the front desk asked how our stay was - I responded saying "just ok" with an unimpressed look, the front desk did not acknowledge my response, no apology or anything. She proceeded to tell me how much I owe and that was it. Room was spacious enough for us. Bathroom was dated with shower curtain, balcony was enjoyable. We loved the elevator system and Starbucks in the lobby. However, we would not choose this hotel again due to the many mishaps.

when I checked in to the hotel, I paid for early check-in at 11am and the room was ready at 10:50am so it was on time. The room was very expensive because of the location of downtown vancouver but I guess the price is comparable to others in the area. The bell boy was nice and and everything looked clean but we had boiling hot water in the washroom for 2 days and the other 3 days it was fine. The bedding was a very low thread count and the pillows were not very dense but overall the room looked nice and the bathroom was spacious

Can’t say enough about Hyatt Regency Vancouver. Service is paralleled by Four Seasons and St Regis! The app check-in actually works (when does that ever happen?!) keyless room entry is flawless. The hotel is a $30 cab ride from the airport and is located in a perfect area for sight seeing on foot. The app allows you to request the toiletries (which you forgot) effortlessly . The gym is wonderful. bring a bathing suit! Outdoor hot tube and pool look wonderful (I forgot mine). There is a Starbucks right in the hotel and several fantastic bars. The rooms are divine. Service is impeccable! This hotel is absolutely my favorite spot in Vancouver (and I’m a bit of a hotel snob....admitting it is the first step). My only negative comment is that, while stuck in a blizzard and unable to go sight seeing or skiing due to treacherous conditions, I elected to check out a day early and head home. The hotel wasn’t at all accommodating with respect to refunding any points I had used to book the room. It was a little disappointing when they were otherwise so accommodating with everything else. But, otherwise, my stay at Hyatt Regency Vancouver was exceptional. I love the Hyatt brand and will forever be it’s cheerleader.

Long term cruise ship parking available at the pier.
Go to the indigo website (trip advisor will noy allow a URL to be posted for this reply)
To the best of my knowledge the hotel does not have long term parking.
I don't know but it would be best to contact the hotel with that question.
A credit card is used to guarantee the room and I believe they put a $100 hold on it to cover any incidentals. This is standard hotel procedure. Not sure if a debit card/cash can be used in this way.
Hello! The most cost effective option will be to take either two taxis or two ride sharing vehicles to the hotel. Private transfers are available but will cost more than the price of two taxis.
