The Hyatt Regency Vancouver is an excellent all-round hotel in Downtown, which is comfortable, functional and friendly, with good, dedicated staff. It's a busy place, which can accommodate up to 1,000 guests at a seminar / conference / convention. We stayed for two nights while visiting the city and were pleased withe the large bedroom, excellent wifi, work table and...

Nice hotel that meets 4 stars rank. Great view especially if you get a room at a floor higher than 19th Great breakfast, but the breakfast room sometimes is busy and you have to wait up 10 mins to be seated. The only minus is coffee - brewed and waterish, but there's a Starbucks downstairs.

Great place to stay whether on business or personal. The hotel is ideally situated close to the waterfront and the hop on hop off trolley stops at the hotel. Walking distance from the art gallery, and other attractions and good restaurants nearby. There's a Starbucks in the lobby as well so you can grab your caffeine fix before heading out...

I travel to Vancouver quite frequently and my favourite hotel is the the Hyatt. It is close to everything, has superior accommodations and service from the staff is outstanding each and every time. The parking garage is well lit and patrolled 24 hours a day. Once outside, it is a short walk to English Bay, or Coal Harbour, or Stanley...

Was extremely satisfied with the overall Hyatt experience and surprised at the speediness of the staff when we needed assistance in our room. Very pleased we were able to use our points for free nights also!!!

Don't get me wrong, the hotel is in a great neighbourhood, it has great people working in it, who really want to make things right. But, there are some things you just can't change with good intentions: the walls are way too thin. The check in was easy and efficient, in a nice and open area. The elevators are really...

This hotel is clean and modern. It is efficient in every way and a great location for the business traveler. It is a little impersonal for a holiday hotel. We especially enjoyed the high tech elevators! Breakfast was good and quick enough for us to catch our plane.

Our trade group with 250 people had a great 4 day meeting with excellent service and the location is central to everything in Vancouver. I stay in Hyatt frequently and this was clean, modern, spacious. Meeting rooms were large but without views. Rooms and bathrooms were very good. Elevators in this 33 floor building were the best, modern design I've...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
