We were attending a conference in Vancouver and so ALL hotels were busy. Still, the line for registration moved quickly and he young woman who checked us is made sure we had no questions and personally led us to the elevators (they have a computerized elevator system). we had reserved a club room and had asked for a balcony. She... More

This is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are modern and very nice. We had a room on the 24th floor with a view of the harbor. Conveniently located; very close to Robson Street shopping and only a few blocks from Coal Harbour. Our in room Wifi was... More

The best place to stay. Even the elevator system is a pleasure here. Location is good for the main attractions. I was simply quite pleased with everything they had to offer and the service was excellent.

Stayed three nights on 31st floor and had a great room with king bed that was so comfortable. Fantastic thick curtains that block light out, large desk and tv. Very good bathroom with great lighting and magnifying mirror. Only thing I didn't like was the ceiling shower they are just not practical. The buffet breakfast that was included with the... More

I expected more from a Hyatt. This hotel was just ok. Rooms were average, bathroom wasn't great, staff seemed overwhelmed, very very crowded lobby with people waiting for their rooms, almost looked like people were camping out. Reminded me of an airport with tons of delays. Rooms were just ok. Not what I have experienced in other Hyatt hotels.

Very friendly staff and nice, clean hotel in ideal downtown location. Room with balcony was very nice with extended stay. Concierge staff went out of their way to help with reservations at top restaurants. Parking was conveniently located.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. The staff were fantastic. The hotel was very clean and a short walk to the convention center/cruise ships. And FREE wifi that was reliable and fast enough to stream Netflix. Finally, they provided a free roll-away for a family member. Great hotel and great stay!

I tried the Hyatt as the rate was relatively good compared to the Fairmont and four Seasons. It was surprisingly nice, and very quiet. Great location and friendly staff. Definitely worth a try. And take the club option as the snacks are excellent !

Would recommend it to anyone. This is the best hotel experience I have ever had. I would love to stay here again. It is a bit expensive, but no more than any other luxury hotel (less than a few, actually). However, if you have the money, it is one of the best rooms and easily the best service I've ever... More

I arrived in Vancouver at 4AM and the hotel I had booked into refused to allow us to check in even though I said I was arriving at 4AM. Tired from a 14 hour drive, we approached several other hotels who were not interested in helping. Until we arrived at the Hyatt. We were given a rate to reflect our... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
