The Metropolitan Hotel is close to everything, nicely maintained, staffed with lovely people and the rooms are comfortable and affordable. We spent one night during Thanksgiving weekend for shopping and visiting friends, and had a delightful time. One elevator was down, but our wait times were still quite reasonable, so it was not a problem. The bed is very comfortable,...

I stayed here for two nights over new years. I had a great time. All the staff were so helpfull and polite. I stayed in the Luxury King Room. My room was perfetly clean and well stocked with goodies. I ordered room service and the waiter who served my dinner was so lovely and genuine. Would stay here again in...

We stayed at the Met as part of a Living Social experience and were very pleased. The hotel is older but very well maintained. Our room was large, and the bathroom was big enough for a separate tub and shower. A real highlight was the bed and linens--so comfortable. The location could not have been better; we were able to...

My husband and I took a last minute trip to Vancouver and decided to stay at the Met because of their location, their pet friendly policy and their rates. The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. There were a few things that could have made our stay much better: Our bed was really hard and didn't...

I recently stayed at the Metropolitan and had no complaints at all. The staff were all very friendly, professional and helpful, and the service was great. My room, which was very nice, had lots of space and was really comfortable. The bathroom was very nicely designed with a separate shower and tub, and lighted make-up mirror. I had stayed at...

Thank you for your comments and we trust that you had a great time in Diva at the Met. It is great that you enjoyed your room, and found the spaciousness of our bathrooms comforting. As for the parking, we recommend to everyone to let our valet park their cars, as the space is very tight in our lot. It...

We loved The Metropolitan. The hotel is right across the street from Pacific Centre in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It would be tough to find a better location to just park the vehicle for your stay and enjoy the city. The bed was comfortable and plush, lots of pillows and an extra blanket at the foot of the bed....

But getting a bit outdated in its styling but it's still a great location just out of view enough if you want more privacy and off the main roads through downtown Vancouver - that's why the A-listers from Hollywood stay there when they're in town. The service is good but it's a pricey place to stay; good for short visits...

I stayed in the Met again last month - along with several other men and women from our company - it is one of y favorite Vancouver property and once again, with one exception, it was an excellent stay. The room was excellent, wifi worked fine, signal strong BUT the elevator really put a pall on my stay. Waits of...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
