Great room and extremely helpful and informative staff, very friendly and obliging. Location great for eating out and so close to False Creek ferries and Granville Island. Would certainly stay there again next visit from Oz.

Sunset Inn is a nice place to stay. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great. Parking is a bonus. The suites are well appointed. It is nice to have an apartment rather than a hotel room. We stay at Sunset Inn whenever we are in Vancouver, whenever we can get a reservation.

We stayed here for 9 nights (should have been 10 but we were snowed out on our way in to Vancouver). The breakfast bar had a lot of options: juice, coffee, milk, cereal, bagels, bread, and fresh fruit - just fill up your tray and take it to your suite to cook. All we bought for breakfast while there were...

My husband and I stayed in the Executive Jacuzzi Suite with best views. The suite itself was spacious and well laid out. The kitchen was small and had all the necessities but with all the fabulous restaurants in walking distance we barely made use of it. While the furnishings and decor was a bit dated everything was immaculately clean. We...

This is one of our favorite places to stay. It may not be the fanciest hotel in the world, but it is staffed with wonderful, professional, thoughtful people, the rooms are made snug and you have all that you need, from the kitchens to the personalized restaurant recommendations. Great value and location.

Our designated hotel whenever we come to Vancouver. Centralized location, quite neighborhood, spacious rooms (full kitchen), comfortable bed, large TV, yummy self-served breakfast, very friendly staffs, great rates, We have been coming to this hotel for the last 5 Christmas. It is indeed like our second home.

Pleasantly surprised at the value for the price. Great central location, but not on main drag, so quiet. Designated parking garage. Nice free breakfast. Big comfy room with everything you need! Friendly staff.

A lovely place to stay - within walking distance of many attractions ( also close to lots of bus routes). Very spacious light apartment, well laid out with all amenities. The only slight deficit was in the variety of kitchen utensils available, but it was manageable. Really appreciated the generous continental breakfast with croissants, bagels, waffles, cereals, fresh fruit and...

We come to Vancouver often...but have never stayed here before. Wow, what a gem...what a great find. Your excellent stay starts with being welcomed by the Lovely Arabella, a true gem herself. In fact, all the front desk staff are lovely...most friendly, and most helpful. The room is clean, well appointed and spacious. Nice handy kitchen and dining area too....

Great room, clean and well managed. Front desk were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great, could bring it back to the room and combine with my own favorite foods. The bed was too soft - bad for my back. Great location, lots of good eating places close by. Would definitely come back.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
