Professional staff who let us check out at 1.00 p.m and stored our luggage for us until we could go to the airport. This hotel is well located a couple of blocks from Davies street with it's many restaurants and a couple of blocks down the hill to the ferry which will take you to the market at Granville Island....

We were in the Sunset Inn for a week. From the first visit to the front desk we found the staff very obliging and attentive. The suite was spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. The bed was enormous and offered a good night's sleep. For those evenings when we did not venture out, the large screen TVs with movie channels and the...

It is hard to find a place in/near the city that has free parking and free breakfast, but the Sunset Inn has them both! Located ideally within walking distances of many shops and places to eat or a short drive/taxi to everywhere else. We had a King room near the top floor that had a hide a bed couch that...

Does the Sunset Inn have a problem with rodents? Why would a mouse trap or poison container be left under the pull out couch in the living room. This hotel has a lot to offer in terms of location and price and amenities, but the discovery of the rodent trap/poison was not a pleasant one.

Good location, near lots of restaurants. Parking is a challenge with a full size car or minivan. No place to sit in the lobby if traveling with a large group. Rooms are small with seating for only 3 in the suites. Staff was very nice.

Sunset Inn & Suites is a very quiet, clean, and comfortable place to stay in Vancouver. Service is outstanding and rates were reasonable. The staff is more than helpful and tries very hard to accommodate your needs. It would always be my first choice when staying downtown Vancouver.

The Executive Suite was absolutely outstanding! We arrived around midnight, and the manager went out of his way to get us parking (free), opening the gate, and carrying some of our luggage! So exceptionally friendly! Such exquisite decor with a perfect layout, nice full kitchen, dining, and large lounge area. The washroom was welcoming to near perfection with a Jacuzzi...

Very nice location near many ethnic restaurants and Granville Island. Jonathan, Elvis and the nice redhead were all very helpful with local reservations and attractions. Rooms are nice with city view, hard wood floors, kitchen, tubs, good size. Parking is free and at back of hotel. Easy walk to all parts of downtown Vancouver. Breakfast was ok with waffles and...

This is an old converted apartment building. It has a good location. The rooms were large and the price was ok. Staff were very friendly but not really that on the ball. The rooms were a bit noisy. We tried this hotel as a change from our regular and it was not nearly as good. The parking was decent. A...

We have stayed here a number of times. It is always a great experience staying here. The staff are universally helpful and pleasant. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. I just wouldn't go anywhere else in Vancouver.

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
