The Atrium Hotel Vancouver garners appreciation for its prime location and the inclusivity of free breakfast, parking, and shuttle services, although some guests suggest that the breakfast variety and amenities could use enhancement. While the hotel's cleanliness receives commendation, opinions on value and room quality show disparity, with mentions of both modern renovations and dated aspects.
The staff's friendliness stands out, although service can sometimes be hit or miss.

Detailed Reviews
Weekday prices were great but jump 50% on the weekend, a lot better than other Vancouver hotels. Very central. They allow dogs which was fortunate for us needing to leave ours at Canada West Emergency Hospital which was only 20 minutes away. The bed is firm which is what I prefer. Nice airy feel to the lobby.
Wheelchair accessibility is one of the best hotels I think that we've stayed at, it must have designed by a person in a wheelchair. Shower benches in both rooms that we stayed in with 1 that has a wheel in shower. Toilets are tall with metal bolts holding the seat on so that it won't come off as you are puling pants on and the grab bar is in the perfect place 11" above the toilet seat. Automatic doors on the street entry.
The bad part of this hotel is what the other reviewers said about the noise, try to get a room as far away from Hastings Street as possible, the heater is also loud. Traffic & people on the street are inconsiderate with the amount of noise they near a hotel. Things quiet down a bit after 2 am. Make sure that the door is locked as 2 different staff tried to come in with one walking in with me being unprepared. My fault not theirs. Card reader for the door is finicky. If you have a Bruno lift on the back of a pickup like we do you need to be careful with a low roof in the garage which barely had enough room on the top of our Ridgeline. Elevated trucks will have trouble with the garage ceiling.

I stayed here for the first time in March. It was a busy trip and I stayed just one night for a meeting in Vancouver. I had a rental car and needed a quiet room; both needs were served very well. Secure parking is offered under the hotel and the room I had on an upper floor on the backside was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. This is an older hotel but it has been kept up to date with good and nice bathroom amenities, a large bedroom with comfortable beds and bedding, large screen TV, and desk area for working. The complementary breakfast was quite nice, especially the fresh fruit and egg dishes. Also, right next door is a Tim's and next to that is a Starbucks. So no shortage of coffee and sweet options. All in all, a very good Vancouver option at a very reasonable price.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
The staff and reservations were great. The usual buffet breakfast has been discontinued due to Covid, however a bag breakfast was available. Unfortunately, there was no choice of items. The bed was very comfortable, bed linens were good, as were the towels. Cleanliness could be upped somewhat as it appeared our room had not been vacuumed properly. Grout in the bathroom needs a bit of work. Furniture, especially in the lobby is quite 'tired' looking. Location is perfect for events at the PNE grounds. Underground, secure parking is available at no cost.

Hello Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed review about your stay at the Atrium Inn. I am glad you gave us top ratings for our convenient location, our great Customer Service and our comfortable beds. Great you took advantage of our complimentary, secure parking. Regarding our complimentary breakfast, we offer a pre-made bag with pastry or bagel, butter or cream cheese, a fruit and yogurt: although the type of items are always the same, we rotate the type of pastries, fruit and yogurt every day. You can also grab a muffin with omelet, cheese and sausage, cereal with milk, and tea, coffee and juice. Our hotel is old and it might look dirty, but our housekeepers do a great job in cleaning it, it is just that some stains don't come off even with deep cleaning. I hope you will come back soon: we are looking forward to welcoming you again! Kind Regards. Alessandra, GSM

Our room for 4 people with 2 queen beds is a very good size, with small dining table and chairs, minibar fridge, big TV, microwave. Has plenty of space to move. The bathroom is designed for elder person, with railings and chair for shower, shower floor very safe which is very good for my 88 year old Mom! The breakfast has cereals, bread, fruit, hot scrambled eggs, bacon etc and choice of coffee, hot chocolate, tea, juice are good. There is also to go breakfast! The dining room is big enough. We ate good everyday! We are thankful for what they offer. A lady working for breakfast, constantly replenishing the food and drinks! When you need extra towel, toiletries simply ask the Reception and they provide it with smile! The lobby is beautiful. In front of the hotel, there are Pizzeria, Vietnamese Restaurant and Gas Station. This hotel provide shuttle to Airport, Cruiseport and near Stanley Park! Bus stop is very near to go downtown.

We stayed for 8 nights at the hotel and were pleasantly surprised with Staff's friendliness and service. The location was pretty convenient for us and close to the city center and Iron Workers Memorial Bridge connecting with North Vancouver. The free parking was one of the mandatory requirements for us and the hotel has a good underground parking. The one thing that could have been a bit better was the packed breakfast - providing some variety, like bagels, cheese spread, and jam some mornings instead only mini muffins and croissants.

Atrium Inn Vancouver is amazing! They are 7miles from Mt. Seymour, which is great for people who love to ski, snowboard, sled, toboggan, etc. Also, they have an amusement park on the opposite corner called "Playland", which is obviously closed during the Winter but I'm sure it's very fun in the Spring/Summer.
Also, the fact that they have a complimentary breakfast 7 days a week and free WiFi in every room is an added bonus (especially for families with small children).

3 Star hotel at best. No major issues except that our room overlooked the main road and was quite
noisy. Hard to sleep at times due to traffic noise.
Chairs and sofas could use a good cleaning in the lounge area and the rooms could be a little cleaner.

Hello Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. I am sorry the noise from the street disturbed you: we suggest light sleepers to request a room on the back of the hotel, which is more quiet, and we'll do our best o to accommodate you request, based on occupancy. The hotel is not dirty, is just old and some stains don't come off even with deep cleaning. I assure you our housekeepers do a great job in cleaning every corner of the hotel the best they can. I hope you will come back soon: we are looking forward to welcoming you again! Kind Regards. Alessandra, GSM

Check in was easy and straightforward, needed to swipe keycard to use the elevator but nothing is needed for the stairs so anyone could get to our floor.
Our first room looked nothing like the pictures posted online and we were right on Hastings St so the traffic and construction woke us up a few times during the first night.
So in the morning I went down and asked for another room and the staff tried getting us into another room but nothing was available at the moment, so I checked back once we were done with our tour that day and was able to move to the fourth floor away from the street.
It wasn't as noisy and instead of a king-sized bed we had two queen-size beds which we didn't mind.
If we weren't going to a concert at the PNE forum on Saturday I think we would have picked something a bit further out from downtown Vancouver.

Breakfast is very limited, cleanliness of breakfast room is also a point of improvement, also that they close the room even before 09:30 despite people sitting there. Room could use renovation, especially better window frames. In terms of noise from outside it seems like you have the windows open.
Lounge of reception also old-fashioned, couches with dirty stains. Tip! For breakfast we went to the bakery across the street, very good!
Staff is very friendly, both in reception and the cleaners.

I have been looking for a hotel like the Atrium Inn for about six months now. This Hotel filled the bill. The Atrium Inn had everything I needed: location, reasonable rates, gated parking under the hotel, carded elevator for safety, a restaurant in the hotel, and all in very plush surroundings. Talks about finding a gem in very unexpected surroundings. Now, please don’t change anything!

Hello, sorry for the delay on this reponse but I just received the alert. Encase you still need the question answered. All shuttle bookings are taken upon arrival at the hotel not prior.
The shuttle is still there. We scheduled for two days later. You can also schedule at the last minute. They had trouble with the shuttle when we were so they paid for a cab.
Only the Corner King and King Suites have a microwave. All rooms have a mini-fridge. Microwaves can be added to any room for $15 plus tax per night.
I don't know what your question is but if you wish to have an extensive answer you may get in touch with the Atrium Inn Vancouver. I understand that there is a shuttle bus that brings you down town. Otherwise it is not too far to walk to the city centre.
Good luck
Do not take the shuttle but there are taxi cabs in the area and there are plenty of them. There was also a city bus and you can look that up by BC Transit and put in your address of where you're going and the hotel address and it will tell you what buses to take.
