I have stayed at this hotel 2 other times in the past. This is my first stay in a room with an en-suite bathroom. The room had a more 'modern' look and I actually prefer the decor of the rooms that have a style more in line with the older look of the building and architecture of the hotel. Other...

Good location near airport sky train and waterfront station. Rooms are nice and in good condition but lack of storage space. Breakfast was fine but would benefit from juice and a better coffee machine. Staff were fine but not as friendly as the average person in Vancouver. Internet was a bit hit or miss and sound of substation was audible...

Great location near Gastown, easy walk to Downtown, has parking too which is useful. The room was lovely, clean and stylish. It had a sink too which was nice since we were sharing bathrooms (but wow, the bathroom was nice! Completely new and modern and a shower with great shower pressure haha). The bed was a bit short but super...

The highlight was the stylish room with brick walls, old style heating elements, enough room in the room and very good beds and a good bathroom with a shower. (no bath). The breakfast was exactly as in the description -- continental, no scrambled eggs or an omlette. On the whole, a good hotel more for individualists than for mass tourism....

Nice clean place in a convenient location. Modern bathroom and all you need in the room. Close to all transport and lots of foodoptions around. Free breakfast was a nice bonus too. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Would book again for sure.

A nicely redone boutique hotel close to both Gastown as well as the trendy areas of the city such as Yaletown. Complimentary Continental breakfasts are simple, but sufficient. The staff is cordial and efficient. Some rooms have en suite bathrooms, others apparently share facilities. Some parking is available, for $20/ day. Frankly a vehicle is only necessary if exploring areas...

I stayed in this hotel last weekend and I was very impressed. The staff was kind and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location could not be beat! We arrived and parked my car and then were able to easily walk to all the things we had planned to do on our trip. The hotel itself was...

I called and cancelled my room a week before the night we we're booked. I spoke to a senior Australian desk clerk. She couldn't even find my initial reservation. But they went ahead and found it a day after the "night we had booked originally" and just went ahead and charged us for the room that we either "cancelled" or...

Simply a good place to spend the night in Vancouver. Walking distance of good restaurants and bars, but the hotel is located in a calm area. The shared bathrooms are very clean and never occupied when you need them. Great value!

I stayed in one of the European rooms while on a business trip. The room was clean and comfy. The bathrooms were well maintained and never busy. Loved the continental breakfast. The pastries and breads were great! More than the typical fruit, coffee and cereal. The only complaint I had was that because it is an old building, it wasn't...

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
