It is in a top location, close to downtown shopping area and harbour, around 10min by foot. If you book early, you can get a good price, the cost is also fair compared to other hotel in the downtown area. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice. We had our own bathroom, so this was great too....

I loved this hotel. The oldest running hotel in Vancouver, with extensive renovations. Staff are so friendly and helpful. In walking distance to almost everything downtown. Rooms were clean, extremely comfortable. A very nice breakfast was included. It is shared bathrooms, semi-hostel-style, but don't let that scare you. There were three on our floor, all were extremely clean, and I...

So Colleen, if you loved staying in one of our Euro-rooms with the shared washrooms, you'll positively adore anyone of our Superior rooms. Over half of our rooms have en-suite bathrooms with a cool blend of old and new features. Maybe you will have a chance to test one out next time. See you then.

I stayed in the king legacy room and I loved it, the bed was so comfy I had hard time getting out of it and the bathroom was so clean and beautifully designed. I was at a seminar down by waterfront and it was a short walk down as well to gas town. I also did some exploring and could...

Beautiful old style hotel. Has kept the features of the past while adding contempory technology to the rooms. Good size and comfortable rooms with good facilities. Basic continental breakfast but more than adequate. Good location. From airport catch Skytrain to Waterfront and get off at Vancouver City Centre station. Max 10 minute walk to hotel. Very helpful staff especially Megan...

Clean, tidy hotel with great staff. Will certainly come here again for longer! Easy walking east or west into Yaletown or Gastown for restaurants and shopping. Try the Lamplighters pub for good food. 10 minutes walk, near to the Old Spaghetti Factory.

Many thanks for your review Kris. So many people stay with us so they can amble down and spend time in Gastown. There is just such a variety of un-branded, and unique stores and restaurants. The Spaghetti factory and The Lamplighter are two favorites that have been around forever. Hopefully you will have a chance to do it all over...

While looking for somewhere on the cheaper end, that was close to downtown (specifically Rogers Arena which was about an 8 minute walk), I stumbled upon the Victorian Hotel and I am very glad that I did before reluctantly booking another stay at Best Western. This place is extremely cute, and while keeping the awesome old style of the building...

Great location, reasonable price, cute historic hotel, BUT I didn't have a good experience here. I did not receive a confirmation email (despite calling to confirm they had the right email address and request one when I didn't receive it) and when I arrived I discovered the staff had messed up my reservation. There was no hot water for my...

Well Ckallis, I'm terribly sorry we failed to meet your expectations during your stay. I would certainly advise any guest to contact the front desk people when they need a blanket or the heat adjusted. That said, I extend my apologies to you for your less than perfect stay and thank you for informing us.

On a last minute business trip to Vancouver last week I ended up booking the Victorian Hotel. What a super hotel! I booked one of the en suite rooms and could not have been happier. My room was very spacious and had a very modern clean bathroom with a deep soaker tub and great shower. The room amenities were great...

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel in a great location. We were able to walk to Yaletown, Gastown, aND Chinatown. The hotel was built in the late 1800's so it is not sound proof. You can hear the traffic and the other guests as they walk down the hall. Personally I think the beauty of the hotel far outweighed the...

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
