It was my first time staying at the Victorian, and I feel I made the right choice when I booked it. The Victorian is an old building carefully renovated and very well maintained, at the heart of DT Vancouver. It is located literally a couple of blocks away from Gastown, a nice little boulevard with plenty of shops, dining options, as well as close to the most iconic avenues in the city. The room I chose did not have an in-suite bathroom, but there are three shared bathrooms located in the hallways, for guest use only. These are spotless clean and have everything you need. My room was located in the second floor, it was a nice little one with a super comfortable Queen size bed, and nice amenities like a big flat screen TV, a Nespresso machine, a small fridge with coffee cream, and cabinets to store your belongings. The front desk staff were amazing and very helpful (George and Manuel) , they gave me a city map and took the time to point in it where to go and where not to. I am coming back to Vancouver for business in a few months, and I am definitely planning to stay at the Victorian again.

Hotel's Favourite
A nice hotel on the edge of the good and bad sections of town. We felt safe if we came in at a decent time. Security seems to come out in the evening. It is very centrally located to skyway, pier, Gastown and Canada place. Many restaurants close by. Very clean and updated.

Hi, we had a very good experience at the hotel which is located in a great location in downtown Vancouver, pretty close to everything and ideal if you want to explore the city walking... Shared bathroom was initially a concern for my girlfriend but the perfect cleanliness removed any doubt...). Additionally the hotel personnel was very helpful and kind in letting us manage flexibly the car parking which helped us to better structure the last day in Vancouver. Highly recommended if you are open to accept the shared bathroom and no breakfast at the hotel.

We were on a 30 day trip and stayed in 14 different beds on our trip. The Victorian Hotel had the most comfortable beds of all. The room was beautiful and comfortable. There was no air conditioning, but it wasn't very warm out. We opened a window to let in some fresh air and cool things down comfortably. Our room was right above the restaurant and it was noisy, but it was only open until 10, so it wasn't really a problem. If you are early to bed people, I'd request a higher floor. Everybody at reception was very nice and helpful. The location was very convenient for seeing the sights of Vancouver. We went to Grouse Mountain, the Vancouver Aquarium and Stanley Park, and could walk to Gas Town. We did have our own car and used the hotel's on site parking lot which is very small, but secure. If I go to Vancouver again, I would definitely stay here again. It was perfect for us.

This was our first visit to Vancouver. It was a great introduction to the city because the staff at the Victorian was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. From housekeeping who took time to show us how the electric blinds work in our room to the front desk who offered great restaurant suggestions. We'll definitely be back to the city and will stay at the Victorian.

Stayed early November in a beautiful room that was above a very loud restaurant that ruined my sleep and my stay. Finally, the silence began at 11:30 p.m. after a long travel day for us. Talked with four staff members about the blaring music - each told me something different about the time it should stop. Also sent an email to the General Manager who did not respond. If not for the noise, I would have rated this a 5. The hotel is very nice and clean; a 10-minute walk to the Vancouver cruise port (Canada Place). However, we won't stay there again.

Room Tip: Don't pick Room 203 - it is above a restaurant that plays loud music long into the night.

Fantastic small room. We were in Vancouver for an overnight stay and were happy to be near bookstores and a great restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff. Funky. Fun Vancouver artwork. Near Skytrain and buses.

We stayed in both the legacy double room with private bathroom and the tiny double with shared bathroom and can recommend either. The smaller double is perfect for a solo traveller. Beautifully appointed hotel rooms and bathrooms. Lovely staff. Great location. Highly recommend.

The hotel and staff were excellent. Fantastic customer service experience. The hotel was clean and quaint. I would recommend and will definitely book a stay here again. The printed directions to the offsite parking were clear and easy to follow.

Centrally located, a bunch of food choices within a block or two, steps away from the waterfront. Nicely appointed and spacious room, wonderfully restored 1890 building, gated and locked parking lot, friendly office staff, highly recommend!
