I booked the YWCA Hotel based on previous reviews and location and was not disappointed. The staff are friendly and efficient, the room (including bathroom) exceptionally clean and the bed really comfortable. There are lots of cafes close by and the hotel is a short walk from many of the popular tourist locations. It is also conveniently close to the...

Very friendly and exceedingly helpful staff. Other guests were very friendly too. Comfortable and clean rooms with access to well equipped kitchen that had seating and tables for us to enjoy a meal together. Room was spacious enough for all five of us and the beds were comfortable. Great to have a good sized fridge in the room and the...

Before I booked this hotel, I did read all the review from all the travelers that stayed in this hotel before, and they were right, this hotel is clean, and the share bathroom clean as well, plus it is right in downtown of Vancouver. This is a perfect place for us and a fair price; we just needed a place...

Many great things about this hotel. The front desk people and rest of the staff are very friendly, courteous and patient with the many questions I had about things in Canada and the surroundings. The location is a great place to leave the car and either walk around or use the bikes. I wish more cities are bike friendly as...

My friend and I shared a two bed bedroom with a semi private washroom, it was definitely more than I expected, very cozy, there was a tv AND a fridge!. Later we moved to a three bed bedroom when another friend arrived. My only complaint for the new room is that there were a couple fruit flies in the new...

Stayed in the YWCA for two nights during winter. Great location in walking distance of everything. Strolled through Stanley Park, Granville Island and around the city. Staff were friendly and great they even made sure my bags got to me after being left by United in San Francisco.

The room was nice, clean and the bed very comfortable. The location was perfect for navigating the city. The YWCA was great. An excellent hotel for the price. Better than some higher priced hotels. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the YWCA in Vancouver. The hotel is safe, clean and quiet, with a comfy bed and good heat/air conditioning. Rates are very good and the location is great; near Yaletown, not far from Robison street. Parking was reasonable and secure.

Very warm welcome, helpful and friendly staff. We stayed in a three-bed room, with showers and toilet on the floor. Everything was very clean . Even a fitness room was there, nothing spectacular but a good way to get started after arriving from an intercontinental flight.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
