. . . was, in a single word, excellent. Check in and check out were easy and all my questions and requests were handled promptly and thoroughly. Looking back, I cannot point out a single thing which I was unhappy about. Everything went very smoothly; my only wish was that every place I have ever stayed would function as smoothly...

It has been nice at this Hostel, it was brilliantly located in downtown, the staff was very friendly. There is a nice Italian cafe in the street for great breakfast and coffee. There´s a supermarket not too far away.

My friends and I stayed in the Quint, a room with one full size and 4 twin sized beds. The beds were clean and comfort as well as the bathroom. As far as concern, the Y has a very nice, hospitable, informative and all-around helpful. Perfect location...across from the soccer arena.

We enjoyed our stay at the ywca. It was especially helpful having access to a kitchen and laundry facilities as a travelling family. The room was clean and basic, staff very friendly, and it is in a good location. The shared bathroom worked well. It is great to support this social enterprise which does such cases valuable work in the...

This is a budget hotel and is very friendly priced. We stayed for one week in room 606 (shared bathroom) and Room 814 (private bathroom). Rm 606 faces the parking lot and sandman hotel whereas Rm 814 has views of the BC place and the apartments on Georgia. The room is small-ish, but adequate (as we just come back for...

The hotel was spotless, the carpet appearing brand new. Linens were nice, beds were comfortable, a coffee shop was on the premises. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful and the location was great. What more could you want? We stayed two nights before our cruise and were delighted.

I was really happy with my stay at the YWCA Hotel. The room was small (which was to be expected), but had everything I needed to be comfortable during my time there - even the shared bathroom was no problem. The staff was really helpful in explaining certain things about the room, and even accommodated my expectation of a student...

We just spent 8 nights at the YWCA Hotel in Vancouver. Location was everything! We were able to walk to most everything we wanted to see, or take the SkyTrain (to the Richmond Night Market). The room is very small, and the beds are only full size, but that was a small price to pay for being able to afford...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
