Adjusting to a shared bathroom was not a problem, but the extreme low-flow shower head left me wanting another shower. Not good for an extended business trip. Bed/mattress not too bad. Old-school curtains didn't quite cover the window: problem if you like the room dark.

I found the YWCA to be a very convenient and comfortable stay. I loved having access to a kitchen and being able to pay for just a single bed. I ended up arriving to the hotel early, due to my train arrival time, and the staff were extremely accommodating in allowing me to use a shower and store my baggage,...

Great location - near restaurants and downtown. Clean facilities. Quiet and spacious room. Friendly staff. The hotel lobby looks very nice and my room had a nice view (of the BC Place stadium). The only downside was that the bathroom and shower are shared with the floor but these facilities were very clean so I had no problem. Excellent hotel...

The location is good with lots of eateries round the corner. YWCA has a friendly and family-like environment. The place is neat and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped and you can borrow many utensils as required. The service is excellent. The staff at the reception was warm and helpful. The triple room layout was good with enough space...

I was VERY impressed with the service and cleanliness of the hotel. The receptionists were friendly and helpful and the room was neat, super tidy and up-dated. The coffee at the coffee shop was fresh and I would most definitely stay here again and bring my family as well.

The very central location makes this an ideal stay, short or long. We received fabulous service. The room was small, but sufficient. We shared a bathroom, but this didn't present any problems as it had a safety lock when in use.

We have stayed here several times now, and each time it has been most excellent. Each time we've dealt with very helpful and knowledgeable staff members, and have had very clean rooms. We also love how close to amenities it is. Thanks again!

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
