When we checked in, they offered us a free upgrade on higher floors with a balcony. Great !! Never had a better breakfast at a hotel. Perfect downtown location, IMO. We would really love to, and we do plan to stay here again.

Freshly cooked eggs, bacon, cooked vegetables, bread, waffles, hot coffee with hot milk as an option too, an assortment of cereals, fruits, yogurts, and even a mango lassi. This was just a fantastic hotel breakfast (and I am sure there were more items that I am just forgetting), and having a nice breakfast like this all ready for you makes...

We spent Christmas night at the Residence Inn. The staff was helpful, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The best thing about this hotel was the buffet breakfast; it may be the best I've had that was included in the rate. We also greatly appreciated that we could leave our car in the garage after checkout.

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn for 6 nights and I was very impressed by the hotel for a number of reasons. For starters, the price is excellent considering the location and what amenities the hotel includes. I was able to book this hotel for $70/night cheaper than another hotel I was looking at which made my decision easy....

Dear IslanderOnTheGo, What an incredible amount of information you've provided - thank you. We do provide grocery delivery service - at no charge - although you DO have to pay for the groceries! I'm sorry to hear about the challenge with getting a taxi - that is unfortunately a citywide concern. We appreciate the feedback and look forward to welcoming...

As a franchisor of the Marriot portfolio, this is an excellently managed hotel. We got in late around midnight and the night manager/front desk checked us in, explained parking and honored special request to have two adjoining rooms for my family. Area is Downtown Vancouver but no problems walking around. If some people are scared of this environ as 'sketchy';...

We picked this hotel because it is located downtown and our suite has a kitchenette. We were happy that we could buy foods from supermarkets and cook them in our room. There is a dishwasher in the kitchenette as well. The bathroom does not have a bath. Shower only. The bed is not bad, but I don't like that they...

Traveling with kids is a trial, especially young kids. It's nice to have a small kitchenette for things like milk, medicine, and the handful of meals that constitute a typical child's limited list of food preferences. Plus, it means you don't have to go out for every single meal. Size of the rooms are very nice. Having a pool is...

I stayed here for business for a couple of days first then for three days with my son and his hockey team. They were one of the most helpful hotels I have ever had when travelling with his team and I usually do all the bookings. Very friendly right from the start. Rooms were nice and clean and quick to...

Modern, clean, comfortable beds, nice big indoor pool (my kids loved it), quiet, easy parking (and not crazy expensive), helpful concierge, well located, nice big bathroom, free abundant breakfast, nice views.. and the list keeps going. Definitely the nicest Residence Inn I've ever stayed at (and I used to travel for work).

Great hotel in Vancouver. Our 'studio' room was large with a couch and queen bed, and a galley style kitchen that was very well equipped. The hotel gym was limited but sufficient for a short stay. Buffet breakfast that was included was also great. Not a huge selection, but 5-6 hot food options, plus fruit, cereal, toast etc. location is...

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
