Good value for this area. Very nice accommodations. There was construction going on nearby but it didn't bother us as we are early risers. International staff, all of them very gracious and helpful. We liked the location, not far from the dock where you can get a water taxi to Granville Island, and an easy walk to other points of...

I was fortunate enough for my home office to mix up our teams travel plans, and 2 of us were not able to get a hotel room at our usual. We ended up at the Residence Inn and I was super happy for the 4 days I got to do so. I was on the 8th floor overlooking the city, with...

I stay at this location for business and love the easy access to dining and entertainment. It is very close to the waterfront (walking distance, probably just over a mile) and very close to Granville Island (similar to Pike Place). The rooms are nice sized and it appears they all have balconies which are great with the views of the...

Dear Sarah J, Thanks very much for the review. We're always pleased to hear from our business travelers that they like the location and amenities of the hotel. Quick note: not all suites have balconies - the Skyline Rooms do and some lower floor rooms as well. Kind Regards, Suzanne Allemeier, General Manager

I can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our trip and staying here was a big benefit. Every staff member was so customer service oriented and friendly. They spent time with us showing us where to tour, drawing maps for us, calling to make sure our reservations at a particular restaurant were on the books (we didn't ask...

This was the perfect place for our stay in Vancouver. Right downtown (about 5 minutes walk from the city centre train station) it was close to everything. The room was spotless and we appreciated the easy temperature control in the room; this can be an issue with a lot of hotel rooms. Breakfast was perfect for starting the day, with...

Spacious room with kitchenette. Breakfast included although - weekday had better choice than weekend for some reason. Hotel close to a lot of good restaurants so did not eat in. Only there for two nights and found to to be a good location as a base.

I usually stay at the Marriott Pinnacle in downtown Vancouver when I visit for business, but this was a little bit closer to my destination and a wee bit cheaper to boot - although both had pet policies that would allow my two wee dogs to come with on this occasion. We checked in smoothly without mishap, got up to...

Stayed with my two boys age 6 and 7. It was so convenient to have a kitchenette with full size refrigerator. Was able to cook a small meal for my kids when the weather was too bad to go out for dinner. We all enjoyed our complementary breakfast. These things make it so much easier to travel when you are...

Spent the night waiting to board a cruise ship the next day, so didn't really need much, but the Residence Inn Vancouver Downtown was a good choice. We spent two nights in this property prior to boarding a cruise. The hotel was just down the street (one mile) from Canada Place and the cruise terminal; great restaurants and other places to explore in the opposite direction. The hotel was clean and rooms were very comfortable for what we needed.

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
