We have stayed at Carmana Plaza a few times now. We stay in a one bedroom apartment. They either have a separate office space or a balcony with beautiful views. You have your own kitchen which is very handy. Great location. It's walking distance to Stanley Park, and Canada Place. Really close to Robson street and a short walk to...

Three of us shared a 2 bedroom suite while visiting the Vancouver Boat Show. The suite was very clean and comfortable, with a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms were small and the kitchen merely OK. It was very reasonably priced at $110. For each room, but parking was an additional $25. We had a lovely dinner at the nearby...

Carmana Plaza is in a great location in Downtown Vancouver and is comfortable and clean. Directly across the road from Urban Fare which sells great organic produce with a wide range of good food along with a cafe. The staff at Carmana were very nice and helpful. Rooms are small with only enough seating for 4 people but if you...

Carmana Plaza is in a perfect location, close to Robson Street and across the road is Urban Fare, where you can purchase all manner of good things to eat. There are also heaps of restaurants within walking distance. We dined quite a few times at Oysi Oysi, a nearby restaurant with inexpensive, Asian food. Tim Horton's is also nearby. Having...

I used to live in Vancouver and I now visit around once a year for business, staying a week. I found this place by accident, as I attended a conference that had special rates for attendees here. I have never stayed anywhere else since - for the price of a regular hotel room (in fact, less), I get a whole...

I stay here regularly when I am in town on business. This is an all suites hotel. My co workers and I refer to this place as "the condo". Many of the suites have modern leather furniture. As many others have said, these a like apartments. Full kitchens, Keureg coffee machines, living rooms and separate bed and bath. When I...

This is a perfect place whether you are there for shopping or business. Right next to Robson street (main shopping area) and a short walk from other attractions as well as the hop and ride tours. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. They make you feel perfectly at home. Apartments are clean, well laid out, and have all necessary...

This hotel is right near Robson street the main shopping area. The rooms are actually suites so you'd have a living room with a room attached to it. There's also a kitchenette and a small seating area as well. The location is outstanding and hence its a bit more on the expensive side. There are no in-house dining options either...

What a good decision this was!!! Right in the middle of downtown, one block from Robson, Skytrain, excellent restaurants!! I stayed for 3 nights, my suite was on the 12th floor. It was very modern and clean. The matress and pillows on my queen bed where wonderful. A littel Keurig Coffee maker kept me going in the mornings...I never did...

This is my second time at this gorgeous city. Three years ago we stayed at the Sutton Place Hotel and we liked it a lot. That time we stayed only three nights so, price was not a big concern because we were staying for a short period. This time, we would stay longer (when we arrived we thought about one...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
