The Century Plaza Hotel offers spacious rooms equipped with kitchenettes, which guests have found to be clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable atmosphere. While some travelers consider the decor a bit dated and have had issues with temperature control, the convenience of on-site dining and a central location close to attractions is a consistent plus. Guest opinions on value and service vary, with praise for the friendly staff alongside experiences of subpar service. Overall, the hotel's amenities and prime location are highlights for visitors.

It's hard to explain my experience. Because at one hand, the room itself met my expectations upon arrival, but on the other hand the staff did not.
According to the current virus situation the hotel schedules specif days for cleaning your room, which is 4 days a week, and they require you should be out for a while so they can clean it. They also said everyday they will leave a basket of clean sheets and towels in front of your door so you change it yourself for safety reasons, and you may leave the garbage outside as well so they collect it.
I stayed for 2 nights at the hotel and the second day was scheduled to be a cleaning day. Luckily I had to run some errands outside and that was perfect since its cleaning day! Upon leaving I left my garbage out and I asked the front desk staff to make sure my room is cleaned when I return. They got all confused checking the schedule, and they didn't know what to say, then told me we're sorry your room is not in the schedule. A few hours later I came back and I found my garbage was still in front of my room and didn't find any clean sheets or towels. I check out the next days and I understand the procedure when you have to wait so they check the room. But the staff was so naive and rude and said you have to wait sir so we inspect the room! We're waiting for the room inspection! They could have said it in a courteous way. It's a standard procedures in all hotels as they simply ask you to wait, but the front desk said it sharp: We need to inspect the room If it's okay. The whole experience was really bad. Please train your staff well and teach them how to be courteous. I understand it's a weird virus time, but I didn't ask for much during my stay. That was really frustrating and I will never come back. I'll make sure telling my friends about my experience as well.

I like this hotel due to its location and the parking facility. Parking is not free but charged at reasonable amount, about CAD 20 per night. However, there should be better soundproof to the room as I can hear the door banging and people’s talking loudly from the room. The pillows can be improved too for better sleeping comfort

There were some minor plumbing issues with our room but hotel staff were prompt to respond and moved us to other room. We were pleased overall with our stay. The location is conveniently in walking distance to many downtown Vancouver attractions, we didn’t have to drive at all.

Situated directly across the road from the more expensive Wall hotel, The Century Plaza offers great value. The room was large, bed was very comfortable, bathroom and amenities provided were lovely too. Cleanliness is certainly their specialty.
Service was friendly and welcoming.
On site restaurant was clean, service was excellent and food was delicious
Ask for a room high up and you get a great view as well as limited street noise.
Location is great for walking to False Creek, getting to Granville Island by aqueous, walking along sea wall, shopping downtown and more.

The restaurant was closed for the entire weekend. Upon checkin I was enthusiastically handed restaurant vouchers and then told , oh the restaurant will be closed for the weekend.
Does that make sense.
I was not told that it would be told that it would be closed when I booked my room, but was told if I payed a higher room rate I would get restaurant vouchers and would be able to use them during my stay. Not impressed.

Thank you for staying with us again, filling up the survey and posting your review. We understand you were looking for a medical rate but our reservations associate got you a better offer which included parking and restaurant voucher. The restaurant was closed for 2 evenings for dinner service due to private events, but was open for breakfast & lunch. We also had the room service available during this time. Our apologies for any inconvenience. Our CPrime Restaurant is very popular among locals and regular guests like yourself. We thank you for your patronage over the years and hope to see you again on your next visit to downtown Vancouver!

Staying six nights, a kitchenette complete with stove, fridge, coffee maker, microwave plates and utensils, is really worth the price. The note that says, "only the towels that are put on the bathtub will be considered a request to be replaced", I think was really a good idea. I don't like cleaning the clean towels myself. However, it looks like they replaced more towels than they have to. The location was perfect for our purpose. Easy to walk to the Free Bus station that takes you to Capilano Suspension Bridge. Easy to locate the Skytrain station to travel to & from the Vancouver airport. You don't need a taxi if you are able to walk 20-25 minutes to & from station to Century Plaza Hotel.

My husband and I went here for a quick weekend get away. We were shocked at how wonderful this hotel was and the staff. The rooms were beautiful and despite it being an older hotel is it is really well maintained. We learned that the hotel is family owned and operated which I thought was refreshing from the chain hotels. Once I learned this, the small details really stood out to me. It is in a great location, the restaurant is delicious and really well priced for the quality of food. Parking was the cheapest around for hotel parking. That was a really nice perk. Overall we had the best weekend and will absolutely stay here again next time we go.

i have stayed twice now, each time a week. when the food was served below par i was not offered anything to rectify my hundred dollar meal that was not even prepared correctly. (first trip) just the most recent stay the kitchenette didn’t have a dishwasher nor utensils or washing supplies. when i was told i could extend during the transfer of calls it was dropped and i didn’t know i couldn’t extend all of a sudden and was treated poorly by front desk male.

I stayed at the Century Plaza with my family - first time. The location is excellent and rooms/apts are large, clean and well maintained (could use a bit of touching up here and there - small stuff). Front desk staff, housekeeping staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating of our needs/requests. Price for downtown Vancouver was terrific.

We stayed for four nights. Our accommodation comprised of a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge area. The furniture and decor was very basic and crying out for modernisation, however everything was clean and perfectly adequate. Housekeeping was daily although there was an option to skip this on a day-to-day basis, in return you are rewarded with a €10 voucher which can be used in the restaurant or the coffee shop. We really liked this environmentally friendly option. We had one breakfast and one evening meal, both of which were delicious. The location is good and fairly central with the hop on/off bus pick up point just outside. Overall a good hotel just in need of a make over
