Eh. That's as good as it gets. it was a place to sleep and a jumping off point for seeing the city. The location was fine but not fabulous. The beds were comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom suite and the 2nd bedroom was tiny. 2 twin beds that were squeezed in the room. The living area was spacious enough....

Arrived to find that I had to walk a few blocks to get something to eat, at 10pm, which was fine but the area that the hotel is located is questionable. If you are there with friends/family for a hockey game, etc. it would be a good place to stay with shopping, fast food places within a few blocks. Tim...

Dear VickiT: Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. In answer to some of your comments, the chlorine smell was actually from the renovation work that is being in the Original Joe's restaurant just off the lobby. The hot water issue would not have been caused by the suite next door but maybe there was a tremendous...

This suite hotel is a great buy for this rather expensive city. We highly recommend it for the following reasons: 1. It is walking distance to arenas, performance venues, theatres, shopping and restaurants 2. If you get a rate including breakfast it offers fresh fruit salad, great custom coffees, pastries, cereals, and yogurts 3. The rooms have wifi, small fridges,...

Last week, I spent 3 nights at Rosedale on Robson. I was able to get a room on the 14th floor that overlooked the terrace. The room is a little bit out of the 80s but it was clean. There was a separate sitting room with a full but mini kitchen, microwave, stove, oven, sink, refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. Cutlery,...

Booked this room through my relatives timeshare. It was well worth the price paid, very comfortable and clean and had a kitchenette which is great. The only complaint would be the phones weren't working while we were there and the tv was pretty old. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay. Parking is reasonable for Vancouver

All the staff were great very friendly and helpful

It's a decent, tourist class hotel - good for families and people attending events at BC Place or Rogers Arena. Two bedroom suite has a pullout bed in the living room. There is a mini stove, small fridge and microwave, plus a few utensils, etc. All good. The two bedrooms have small windows that open, but the living room relies...

This was our first trip to Vancouver and the hotel was the perfect spot for comfort and location. We bought a Living Social that included parking and breakfast as well as a bargain price for this quality hotel. Situated on the 17th floor we had an excellent view of the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are happy that your experience in Vancouver and this hotel worked out well. As for the TV reception, Shaw Cable was doing upgrades to their system in the downtown core and unfortunately it did not go as well as planned. They assure us that the issue are behind them...

Stayed here 2 nights on the weekend to see the Cancucks game. Excellent location and very helpful staff. The room was large, clean and most importantly a very comfortable bed. We only paid $100/night which for that price was a very good deal for the location. The only downside were the elevators which during busy times were very slow.

We were looking forward to our stay at the Rosedale as it was recommended by others. Although the downtown location was good, everything else was disappointing: No telephone service in rooms. No WiFi until the morning after check-in and then it went in and out of service. VERY slow elevators - we walked up and down to the 13th floor...

Dear garibalidigirl: Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. With regard to the telephone system, unfortunately the telephone technicians trying to solve a minor issue caused even further issues. This was finally solved at 3:00AM Sunday morning. With regard to the WiFi, these same technicians in their haste to fix the telephones touched other equipment unrelated to...

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
