I had a room with a private bathroom and my friends used the shared bathroom. Everything was extremely well maintained and clean. Wonderful, polite and helpful staff. Great price, includes a continental breakfast. 2 minute walk to IGA, liquor store, tim's, dairy queen and inexpensive...More
Our stay at the Kingston was well suited away from the hustle and bustle of Vancouver; and we came for the loudness of Pride. Off the beaten track but downtown close by and easily accessible by foot. Very quiet and calming location. All staff were...More
A friend and I recently spent a very enjoyable week staying at the Kingston. We had a more expensive room with twin beds and a private bathroom with shower. There was a little area with a desk and chairs also. We found the room to...More
When I stayed here, I didn't have my own bathroom so I had to use the public bathroom just down the hallway from my room. This was perfect because the hotel is very quiet and there aren't really very many people you're sharing the bathroom...More
Very nice hotel, very clean, very friendly and helpful, great location downtown. Like the fact that it is a small and family run hotel. Excellent parking available. Would definitely stay there again. The price is very reasonable.
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also
popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.

The rooms I've stayed in both times I was there were the same. They are small rooms but ample for one person. There is the bed, desk and chair. There is a mirror and a sink in room. The shared bathrooms are just down the hall plus there are some on other floors. I never had a time I had to wait. I personally was never bothered by construction noise. It is an older hotel so no air conditioning but there is a fan and the window does open. It was fine for me and I was there in August. There are many little alcoves with comfy chairs around the place if you want to sit and read. Staff are extremely helpful. My room didn't have a tv. Not sure what the bigger rooms are like. It is so central to everything. The morning continental is adequate. Toast or bagel, juice, coffee, tea. Not sure what else. I hope this helps.
