The room was quaint and the bed was very comfortable. The bedroom as well as the bathrooms/showers were very clean with lots of clean towels provided daily. The continental breakfast is toast or bagel with orange sections and coffee, tea or juice. Simple and satisfying. The staff were all very friendly and helpful! The Kingston Hotel is a gem in...

The room was small and dark but clean and the bed was very good. Excellent location. Continental breakfast consists of either toast or a bagel prepared for you and coffee tea or juice . The Kingston Hotel is great value for money. Clean and tidy.

Room was small but it was the one I chose. Larger rooms available. Very good location. We were checked in and out by Sean who was very helpful. Continental breakfast consists of either toast or a bagel prepared for you and coffee tea or juice . Will stay again but in a larger room.

The Kingston Hotel is great value for money. It is centrally located in middle of the city, close to transport, shops and restaurants. It is an easy walk to the harbour and many sights of interest in the city. We stayed in an ensuite double bed room. The room wasn't large but, clean and comfortable enough for the time we...

Stayed for 3 nights in mid-September while the surrounding construction activity was taking place. Was well aware of this activity and it was quite manageable. However, other aspects weren't as acceptable. The room had a very unpleasant odour, more than likely because the windows were closed due to the construction activity outside. This odour did not leave. I paid extra...

Very dark but clean room, very dim lighting making it impossible to read. Friendly service but unsatisfactory breakfast of toast served on paper plates and coffee in paper cups. A cheap hotel very well located downtown

For the money and the location, I thought this hotel was excellent. It was very well run and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Wifi was free and the small continental breakfast was a nice bonus. Whilst sharing a bathroom was a bit of a downside, it was kept immaculately clean and there was never much in the way...

This hotel was around thirty dollars cheaper per night than the two hostels in the same vicinity. We had stayed in the hostels before and they were nice but the Kingston was a lot nicer. The staff were very friendly, the room was small but it was immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. The free wi-fi worked very well...

The hotel itself was friendly and well located, but unfortunately there is major building work taking place on both sides. It mentions building work in "the neighbourhood" when booking, but that is rather misleading. There is an office block being built on either side, and the building work started at 6am having finished around 10pm the previous night. We were...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
