Vancouver's hostel by the beach is located just 20 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from the University of BC. At HI-Vancouver Jericho Beach you'll be surrounded by parkland and sandy beaches, with views of downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park, and the North Shore Mountains at your...
Myself and husband came over from the Uk in an-emergency as our son who lives in Vancouver was in hospital. We had various private rooms over 10 days, all the

I have been a lifetime HI member since 1972. This is the worst experience in all those years. My wife and I travelled from Vancouver Island for a Monday morning medical appointment hoping to defray some of the incredible costs of the trip by staying...More
I had heard about this hostel from people in my tour group, who were complaining about how terrible it was. I thought, hey it can't be that bad... oh how I was wrong.

West Point Grey is one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods, especially known for its easygoing and admired beachfronts. Locals crowd the Spanish Banks and Jericho Beach, especially in the summer, where a sprawling view of the English Bay awaits. The central village is an oasis of sovereign shops, many of them in local operation for years. The neighbourhood has a more personal feeling to it, and can be a wonderful
and much-needed break from the bustle of big-city life, being a little haven of peace and quiet with an almost village temperament in the heart of Vancouver.
