What an amazing find in a great location right near Stanley Park. Huge apartment with full kitchen, dining room, living room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! Very friendly staff and underground parking available for a small fee.
We (a couple) stayed on 3 separate occasions this year for 2 days, 5 days and 7 days in a one bedroom suite. Each stay was terrific. - Although the suites are dated, the bed on each occasion was comfortable. On the first stay (luckily the 2 night one) the TV was faulty . - The suites are very spacious, clean and for the two longer stays were serviced each 2 or 3 days. All facilities were good. - Free laundry service in the basement is excellent. - Ideally situated in the very popular West End of Vancouver, close to Stanley Park, close to restaurants and shopping and ideally situated to walk all around Vancouver. - For us, value for money was excellent. - We plan to stay here again next year for about the same period. Thank you Rosellen Suites... Phil and Michele Brisbane Australia…
My sister and I stayed in one of the suites for 4 nights. The suite was beautiful, spacious and super clean! We loved out suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, living room and dining room. It was actually more space than we needed for just the two of us, but my niece who was supposed to be the 3rd person, unfortunately was unable to go at the last minute. The location was great! We were on a very quiet residential street within walking distance of Stanley Park. We were also within walking distance of several shops, restaurants, grocery stores and public transportation. The area we stayed in was very walkable and the public transportation in Vancouver is great. We didn't rent a car but we really didn't need to, and took public transportation all over the city. Next time I go to Vancouver, I will definitely book a room at Rosellen Suites. Also, the staff were very nice and helpful in giving us advice. They even allowed us to do our laundry there for free, which was an unexpected bonus!…
We have stayed at the Rosellen Suites a few times and just love it! The suites are spacious, clean and very quiet. The location is great for a walk through Stanley Park and several shops and restaurants. Parking is secure underground so you don't have to worry and it is pet friendly! The prices are great too! Will definitely be staying again when back in Vancouver.
Excellent location and great management team, but our stay was not very relaxing because we had mice in our unit. We saw a mouse on three different occasions so we were pretty unnerved. The management had already moved us once (because the original unit we were assigned had a really awful smell). One of the managers (Kent) moved us to an upgraded unit, and it was great. Until we saw a mouse on our first night. Kent came back afterhours and put mouse traps throughout the unit. The mice did not fall for it. The next day we saw mice droppings in the living room, kitchen, and dining room (photos attached). We spoke with the other manager, Tag, who was also very helpful. He did explain that mice is sometimes to be expected since it is a metropolitan city, and he vacuumed the unit for us, and provided sheets so we can cover the furniture and sit on the couch. Basically, the management team did everything in their power to help, but of course, there’s not much they can do about the mice in the walls of the building. We were offered to look at another unit should we want to move. We looked and saw a mousetrap under the couch of that unit, so we figured, what’s the point of packing up and moving again, if the mice was everywhere? We decided to make the best of it. We bought some suggested repellents (peppermint oil, dryer sheets, and cayenne pepper), and placed them all over. We also had to wash the dishes before each use because we don’t know if any of the little buggers crawled on them. It was pretty hard to just take off your shoes and kick back, I didn't even want to think of anything running around me while I slept. Anyway, as previously stated, the location is excellent. We felt safe walking at night. There were lots of local restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the park is pretty much at your backyard. Would I stay at Rosellen Suites again? Maybe. If I can bring cats.…
Almost all, if not everything they say about themselves, was misleading. ‘Quiet’ place - the garbage collection in the morning sounded like a building demolition - we jumped up to look through the window ti see what’s the shattering noise… And talking about dated - it smelled death … Please check out the photos. We couldn’t believe people can leave good reviews for such a dump. The only, and indeed the only, good point was it’s size. And all that for 400 CAD a night.
I stayed here for a couple of nights with my dog. We had such a wonderful, peaceful stay! This place is older, but very clean and comfortable. My apartment was WAY too big for just one person - bedroom, living room, kitchen and bath. LOTS of space! Everything worked well. The bed was comfortable. Wifi was good. I loved the "old school" charm of the old elevators. (My dog didn't like them, though.) The neighborhood was safe and lovely to walk around. This place is about half a block from Stanley Park, which was terrific with my dog in tow. There are lots of restaurants, and shopping, within a few blocks. I was able to park my car and never use it during my stay. The parking garage is VERY tight. If you have a big car or truck, you probably won't fit. Staff were very kind. I look forward to returning!…
It is older but very well kept. We found it comfortable, clean and quiet. I would recommend this hotel if you want a quiet restful night. Very different from other hotels we have stayed at in Vancouver in a good way. The customer service was excellent.
My husband and I took our four kids on vacation from Ontario to Alberta and BC. We booked it all ahead of time. I called and reserved a room that I was told had four beds for our family of 6. While on our trip, the day before we were to arrive at Rosellen Suites, we got an email that our reservation had been cancelled and that they would try to accommodate us at another hotel. However, the room they tried to give us had two beds and a sofa bed. While on the phone with a man from the hotel he said that they had overbooked the rooms. This caused so much stress to me and my husband on this vacation which in turn upset our kids. Not impressed is an understatement.
This place called saying they had overbooked and that we no longer had a place to stay the night before we were arriving. We spent 2 stressful hours trying to find a new room last minute. Do not trust what they say even after you have a confirmation.
