We had a one-bedroom suite, complete with kitchen, and it did very nicely for my wife and myself as well as our son. The apartments are fairly basic, and some decoration would be welcome, pictures on the walls, for example. The rooms are quiet, however, and the price is right and much better than anything available downtown.

Pro: -Quiet location since it's inside UBC -New toilets and facuets, which is nice -dishes, pans, cups, and kettles are provided -beside the bus terminus -parking is $11.43 taxes included per day (cheaper than downtown parking) Con: -No AC -No in-room Wifi (this is the 21st century, come on!) -Lack of signage, so it's easy to lost -In addition, the...

Stayed in one bedroom in a pod of 6 that shared a washroom (2 showers, 1 toilet) a kitchen and a sitting area. Unlike some other residences, the kitchen had a stove, as well as a fridge and microwave. No utensils, pots, crockery or cutlery. Bring your own. Daily maid service was good. Room was small, but comfortable, except that...

Although the room was quite basic and the shared showers and restrooms were clean, the room was very old. The desk and bed were probably more than 30 years old, and there was no air conditioning. No wifi at the room. In contrast, the hotel service is very friendly and the lobby is quite comfortable. The gage apartments are located...

Given the moderate temperatures of Vancouver you usually do not need air conditioning. But my room was directly in the sun and was a stifling 90 degrees F when I walked in. Even after jamming the door open the room would not cool down. There was simply no way to pull cool air into the room. Made for a rather...

Great location on campus. Parking close by and the student union building across the street are handy. Don't expect much in the way of service when compared to a hotel. Here you move your own luggage to your room and hope to get replenished bathroom toiletries on a daily basis. But it's clean and if you need to be on...

While the bed was comfortable, the fan in the room didn't work, nor was there Internet access (despite it being indicated in the guest service binder), and the ability to dial the front desk wasn't working. As a business traveller, it had more limitations than benefits and as the price is the same as the downtown hotels - I'll stay...

We stayed here for a week in July 2014 during a conference at UBC. So location was great. Unfortunately there was a heatwave in Vancouver, and the ceeling fan wasn't much help. Better AC would really improve the situation. Otherwise, close to the bus terminal, so reaching other parts of Vancouver was very easy. It isn't a top hotel, so...

Printer always broken and there is no note to say it-you lose your money. Laundry machines are not working properly either. Don't expect any service. When I first came in my flat, it wasn't even clean! I'm so sick of this residence. Can't wait for the end of the term…
