HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

I stayed at Howard Johnson Vancouver before and after returning from a cruise and I was disappointed only that I had not booked longer stay. The design, decor and Family atmosphere of the hotel is simply stunning and my favourite room, which had a nice sitting area, very clean bathroom and so so cozy Queen Bed. Hotel team and staff...

Stayed here on a business trip for 3 nights.arrived here in the early hours of the morning to find the club which is attached to the hotel packed. The rooms were tired and had seen better days. The night receptionist was unhelpful in the extreme. The day receptions were very helpful indeed.the location is in the centre of the club...

This is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Our first night it was very noisy on the road outside and the next morning they kindly changed our room and we had a very quiet peaceful night. Excellent location. We could walk everywhere.

I planned a trip for my inlaws. I called 2 weeks ahead of their trip and booked a room. I found a better location half hour after my original booking and called back to cancel. I was advised it was well within the companies cancellation policy and my visa would not be charged. It was charged. The manager Lucia and...

Good location, within walking distance of most downtown attractions.Basic room,no microwave, fridge or ironing board.Would suit a short term stay. The room I had faced an apartment complex which was quite rowdy on the weekend that I stayed. On a positive note the adjoining restaurant did some of the best chicken wings in Vancouver.

Hi 2352013 thank you for your review. We do have a fridge and microwave in our common area and iron boards are readily available on request. Yes our restaurant does have some of the best chicken wings in town!

Overall, if you book at the right time and get a room high up in the hotel, it's not bad for the location and price. If you manage to get a room on the 1st floor above the nightclub, do not expect to get any sleep. If you intend to hit the town till 3am, go for it. If you're...

Dear Jonathan898, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. Yes, we are located in busy entertainment district and are surrounded by nightclubs and restaurants and yes, it can get quiet noisy. Street noise is something that we can't do much about, unfortunately. As for renovations, we have completed one last year, I'm sorry to learn that you...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
