Pros: This hotel was clean, affordable, had a really nice breakfast, and was in a great location for cruisers. Cons: The single elevator is not sufficient, the breakfast area was not big enough to accommodate a hotel of this size, the rooms were TINY.

Excellent downtown location. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Just wish the rooms and hallways were painted a brighter color so that they would not look so dreary with the dim lighting. Staff was very good!

Location is perfect and price is lower than other nearby options. Room is very small and the one elevator is not enough for this busy building; we ended up using the stairs even though our room was on the seventh floor. Breakfast was included and convenient but sparse — no eggs or fresh fruit. I had a bagel with cream cheese which was fine. This is a very basic, no frills hotel but for a short stopover it was fine.

We have stayed here before when we visit Vancouver before an Alaska cruise. The location is perfect for walking to the pier. The service is always great. We enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning before leaving.

This is generally a decent place to stay, with updated rooms and very convenient location. The building is older and there are no views to speak of, but my room was comfortable. Three things to note: It's an older building with one elevator. Wait times are long. The rooms are small. The key card system is horrible. Over 3 days I had 10 different cards and had to be let into my room by staff 3 or 4 times. The cards weren't wiped by clean in my pocket by an adjacent credit card or cellphone; even when just handed to me and stored in the room, they failed to work a second time. Staff were very helpful and friendly and explained this is a common occurence. Until I hear that this has been fixed, I won't be staying here again.

Thank you RRossP for your review of our hotel, I am sorry to hear that you had issues with the door systems. I understand the frustrations in dealing with these older magnetic keys and am happy to say that we are about to accept a quote for an RFID upgrade set to take place in the fall. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kind Regards, Dave Stevens General Manager Days Inn by Wyndham Vancouver Downtown

Out of date décoré, dark dingy hallways, and an elevator that takes over 5 mins to arrive is the least of the issues. Front desk staff have no problem solving skills, their card reader wouldn’t accept my card (despite it working all day elsewhere) and they suggested I just don’t stay at the hotel instead of offering alternative pay options. Every option I offered like tapping my card they said they aren’t able to do. Wifi was very slow and could barely handle browsing and uploading Instagram. Work area in the room was uncomfortable and with wifi speeds most work was not viable. Worst continental breakfast was the worst I’ve experience since middle of the pandemic and I travel a lot with work. Nothing fresh. Only warm food was coffee or make your own waffles. No oatmeal. No fruit. Not warm proteins. Mostly cereal, bread/bagels, muffins, and cold overcooked hard boiled eggs. Depressing.

Thank you for your review of our hotel, I am sorry there were issues with your credit card during your check-in, unfortunately, this is something that is out of our control and we do require a chip and pin authorization for transactions as they are the most secure form of transaction for the business. With regards to the Wifi, I will look into your reservation and run speed tests in the room you occupied to see if we can address this, as there can be dead spots from time to time if an access point is not communicating properly, at current the speed test I have just completed shows our internet speeds to be very fast so I am sorry that this was not your experience. As for the complimentary breakfast, we offer a variety and I am sorry that the items you had hoped for were not available, the hotel does have oatmeal and fruit available I will talk with our attendant to ensure these items are always fully stocked. Thank you for your review. Dave Stevens General Manager Days Inn by Wyndham Vancouver Downtown

What's that joke about having to leave the room to change your mind? That's how small my guestroom was. I think my dormroom in university was larger. The breakfast consisted of a choice of beverages, cereals, one Belgium waffle maker and some hard boiled eggs. But it was a 5 minute walk to the convention center, which was very convenient.

The hotel was not as advertised on the website .... Not much good to say unfortunately the website is exaggerating ... price and Value don't match ... The surroundings and sight seeing is great... use Uber way cheaper than taxi ... or explore the ExpoLine just around the corner... The hotel was a downer .... not as expected... they missed to mention that it was under renovation until it was too late to cancel..

The location of the hotel is most convenient to reach all downtown places and the staff is so kind and smart to do the service. I am highly going back to Days Inn when it comes to my next visit. The breakfast is not luxurious but enough to eat and drink

The hotel and rooms are outdated, however the location and price of your stay is totally worth the compromise of the basic amenities this hotel offers. Rooms are definitely clean but not the nicest Breakfast is decent and staff are lovely. Spent 4 nights for a business conference
