I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. When I first arrived the staff at reception were warm and friendly, however the décor of the hotel was a bit dated for my taste. I was given a room on the 5th floor which was ok, however by 8pm on the first night (a Thursday) all I could hear was the...

We were very impressed with the service of this hotel even before we arrived. Due to ferry cancellations, we needed to cancel our hotel room with less than 12 hours notice. The hotel staff were very understanding and did not charge us. We then stayed at this hotel the following weekend, traveling with a large dog, which the hotel accommodated...

The beds were comfortable, and rooms spacious enough, however, hotel did seem a little run down, and was very noisy. Thin walls which meant I could hear others in the hallway and next room over, as well as noise from the nearby bar/club until after 3 am. The location is quite central, but not in a great area of Vancouver....

They've done a great job renovating, rooms and bathrooms very clean, but it's an old building, (+100 years), so lots of noise carry over. It's not located in the best area of the city, but its close to Granville Island and centrally located to lots of places to see, shop and eat.

Postives: Ramada is centrally located- right at the heart of downtown Vancouver; It is within walking distance to some of the main tourist attractions; close to many restaurants and affordable places to eat(you have to check out the sushi villa right at the corner - it is insane!). Negatives: Older building, facilities can do with some massive renovation; A bit...

The staff was very friendly. Room was clean and neat. Aircon worked. Location was great. We walked to the Vancouver Convention Centre to watch Fly over Canada which was absolutely fantastic. This hotel is really in the midst of the buzz of Vancouver

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
