Sonder At Revival garners praise for its prime location in Vancouver, with guests enjoying proximity to beaches and parks. The hotel's artistic atmosphere and terrace are popular among visitors, as are the clean, well-appointed rooms featuring regional art and fully equipped kitchens. While the check-in process and chat support receive commendations, some guests have faced challenges with customer service, room heating, and perceived value, noting high parking fees and service issues that do not align with the hotel's rates.

Perfect on all accounts: convenience, amenities, space, location, cleanliness. Was exactly as described and on photos. Full-size grocery store, pharmacy, and dollar store in the mall right under. Lots of nice coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Easy access to public transit. Would return anytime.

Sonder at Revival in Vancouver is a contactless accommodation which was very efficient and easy to navigate and stay at. The property was clean modern airy. Loved signs and communication on mask wearing, social distancing and sanitizing stations. Felt safe though there are no front desk check-ins or front of the hotel personnel. It is all with your personalize code that you go in and out of the front door, your room and other places within the property. The room we had was modern (with a great little kitchen and great appliances), spacious and comfortable. it is also conveniently located to Stanley Park, English Bay and a wide range of great restaurants. Would definitely recommend this for anyone visiting Vancouver or has business in Downtown Vancouver. Felt like a home....

We recently stayed at Sonder in Vancouver's west end. It was pretty interesting, in that there was no front desk, or any staff to be seen. Everything was completely automated. If you're not comfortable with technology, this might be a little intimidating. If you are comfortable with technology, it's a fantastic opportunity to stay in a clean, comfortable room for a really reasonable price.

About the room - everything was new and immaculate. Our balcony opened onto a blank wall, but that was on us for picking the very cheapest room. At least it was private!

The kitchenette was well stocked with dishes and coffee makings. The West End has amazing restaurants, you could spend weeks there trying new cuisines and bring your leftovers back and reheat them.

We lucked out with street parking the first night, but in the West End that's a bit like winning a lottery. Probably better not to waste your time and just park in the parkade behind. It's attached so it's really convenient.

We stayed here for 10 nights and it was just perfect. The room was large, spotless, full of natural light and equipped with aircon to both heat and cool, and even though it’s near a road it was really peaceful. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc, meaning you could easily cook a full meal if you wanted to. The bathroom was modern and clean, and the shower was high pressured and warm. Fresh towels and any other bits you need are available at any time from drawers in the lobby, and although your room isn’t serviced, we still got a delivery of fresh towels after a few days. There’s also a luggage storage room and even an umbrella rental stand (which you’ll probably need for ‘Raincouver!’) Location wise it’s absolutely fantastic - just off Denman with all its amazing cafes and restaurants, a short walk from English Bay beach, a stone’s throw from Stanley Park, and nestled between cool Davie St and shopping destination Robson St - we couldn’t have picked a better location. With several grocery stores in walking distance too, everything you need is on your doorstep. Plus, you’re right by the no.5 bus route and a short walk to several more meaning that if you want to go further afield, it’s really straightforward. Just a perfect stay in an amazing city!

I stayed there on my own. There is no front desk, cleaning the room is by request only and costs C$60 each time. Since I was out most of the time, this is not a huge issue for me. Towels and amenities are available on the ground floor.

The machinery at the mall next door can get noisy, the hotel provides ear plugs. I am a sound sleeper, so, also not an issue. Love the fact that there is a kitchenette and full size fridge as well. There was only a shower in my room. Some prefers bathtubs, but fewer hotels are providing them nowadays (probably to speed up the room cleaning time).

I brought enough clothes, but even if I didn’t, I think that there is a laundromat just across the street.

Really love the neighborhood. Still feel like staying downtown, but away from the hustle and bustle.

There is a supermarket and a liquor store at the mall next door. There are also some nice neighborhood restaurants in the area.

This place falls a bit short of being a "better way to stay". There are no block out blinds, and actually the blinds don't go all the way down, so you need to sleep with a face mask if you want to sleep past dawn on your holiday. This meant my face was sweaty every morning from the mask.

There are no cleaning services - we went to request a clean and it was "not available at this location yet". If you want fresh sheets you can request some and change them yourself. I did more cleaning on this holiday than I do at home (because I have a cleaner).

The bed was memory foam, and I didn't mind it but I prefer an inner spring. Australian travellers should remember that a "queen" size in Canada is more like a double, so we were squished.

The fridge made an awful buzzing noise intermittently which woke me up. Also there are no telephones, so when my international roaming didn't work, I had no backup through the hotel. Because my husband had the booking details (through the app) I could not contact the hotel by myself, because there is no reception.

The hotel is very conveniently located, with a supermarket and Cafe in the same building.

I would recommend staying here, but next time I will upgrade to a larger room so there is a couch, and request a room with block out blinds (or at least not east-facing).

Have never stayed at a Sonder place before but decided to give it a try as the place was decorated beautifully and thoughtfully! I'm glad I decided to for our short stay in Vancouver as it was such a comfortable place to stay at. It had all the amenities that you would need for an extended stay. My husband and I had to do some work during the day and the unit we rented had more than enough space to do that. The kitchen had everything you would need to make a meal. The bathroom was very spacious and had a huge counter space for all your toiletries. The bedroom was very comfortable and even had a white noise machine that I used every night to help me sleep. I thought not having cable was gonna be a disadvantage but the Roku TV was more than enough. Not having to go through a front desk to check in was a welcome change that I didn't realize I would prefer much now moving forward. The location was perfect! English Bay was a 5 min walk and Robson St. was a 10 min walk. Local restaurants everywhere on your walk. I would definitely stay here again if we ever decide to stay in the area again.

Fantastic place to stay in super location near English Bay. Very comfortable room with balcony (no great view). Staff were extremely friendly and helpful supplying extra items when required. Two minor observations- we stayed 2 weeks so a complimentary room clean would have been good, and you can hear the blinds being opened in neighbouring rooms. Overall an excellent experience, thanks.

On the corner of Comox and Benman attached to a little mall is Sonder in Vancouver. Great location, so much to do within walking distance and what wasn’t was easily accessible by bus on the same corner.

Travelling with an infant for the first time, we had lots of concerns and demands and Sonder accommodated everything we needed (playpen, high chair, adjoining rooms). The staff we bumped into were all pleasant and outgoing.

I was uneasy paying the full 5 nights stay upfront with no refund available after 24hrs, and that would be my only complaint.

Overall a great experience, would gladly choose Sonder again! 5/5

The place had everything I needed from towels, shampoo and conditioner to a stocked kitchen and an electric stove (no oven). I received an email with the combination I needed to use to get into the building a few days before my check-in date. Getting into the building was never a problem. Just realize that you must press the # button at the end of your combination on the keypad. There was no one at the front desk but there were often employees walking the halls and cleaning rooms. You can ask them for help with anything. The room and the bathroom were clean when I arrived. The wifi worked very well. My only complaints are that one of the shower hads did not function and there was no view of anything from my room. I recommend selecting a room that has a view of the inner garden. I would return to this Sonder and I would use other Sonders in the future. I had an excellent experience!
